The information *** *** has stated in the beginning of her complaint is true and correctShe did purchase the vehicle on 12/21/for the amount of $as describedThe rest of the statement, however, seems to be incorrect in our
connection to her problems with the vehicleUpon research of the complaint I have discovered quite a bit of information perhaps not available to youFirst and foremost, her statement of "within a month the battery died, then, within two months, the cost for repairs, etc was over $to Big on my credit card." I found during my investigation into this matter that "repairs" made at this time appear to be nothing further than regular maintenanceI have included to CARFAX reports, one marked "A" is the CARFAX run at the time of our purchase of the vehicleThe other report marked "B" is the CARFAX that we ran after receiving the complaint letterAs indicated on the CARFAX "B" page (this section has been high-lighted yellow) the repairs made at Big tires were for tires and an oil changeNothing further than regular maintenance it appears, I also called to get an estimate from Big tires for replacement of four tires and an oil change on a Ford Taurus and received a quote not much different from the $as stated by *** ***I do not see any further information regarding major repair at the time mentionedYou can also see that apprx6,miles had been put on the vehicle by this time
On the same page of CARFAX "B", you can also see that the vehicle was involved in an accident around a week after the purchase (this is high-lighted blue)Without knowing the extent of the damages during this accident I cannot say what issues were incurred because of itThe CARFAX does say the vehicle was towed which shows me that vehicle was un-drivable after the accident occurredYou can also see on this page that almost three months occurred between the time of the accident and the time of said repairs at Big O tiresThis is also an issue as there appears to be no records indicating any major repairs were done in order to make the vehicle drivable againNot once during this time were we contacted regarding any issues with the vehicle in question
Lastly, also on page of CARFAX "B" you can see a salvage/junk title has been issued on the vehicle in May of this year (this is high-lighted green) almost five full months after the purchaseIt's our belief that this was due to the accident sustained the week after the purchaseAgain, without knowing what damage occurred during the accident, I cannot say for sure
Once again, I have enclosed the copy of the CARFAX and NMVTIS ran at the time of our purchase of the vehicle which neither have any indication of issues or accidents with the vehicleEach of these are presented to the customer for free upon request prior to the purchase of any vehicle in our inventoryIn closing, I simply do not see where the issue with the vehicle are in result of any action or inaction of our companyI am requesting that this matter be closed as it appears that the issues have been created by the customer and not by our company in any way

I accept none of itI can obtain a copy of all that was wrong with the car from Big O and it was not just "tires and maintenance." The accident was simply a rear-ender at a stop signThe main near accident was when my son was driving to a work site and the wheel "wouldn't turn." He managed to slowly get it to a Big O in Carlsbad, called me and I spoke with the technicianThe "head gasket and air compressor were both shotI am fortunate my son is still alive as I quote his statement; "Mom, I almost got in an accident." I got the estimate of the repair for the head gasket and air compressorI called my son-in-law who was a recent Manager at Big O Tires and he confirmed after speaking with the tech at the Carlsbad Big O that the head gasket and air compressor were damaged and would cost over $to fix! After I had already spent over $for this "lemon" that was not worth anything close to that, the car went to the junk yard and they gave a measly $for the junk carThere was NO Car Fax offered to me when I purchased the carAs you can see, there is NO signature from meI was not given this Car Fax reportThat was a mistake
