*** complaint with the Revdex.comOur response follows.Affordable Loan Company is sympathetic to the difficulties Ms*** family is suffering, and is truly regretful that the repossession of the vehicle has caused the family hardshipAffordable Loan Company repossessed the vehicle due to no insurance, past due payment and the anti-theft device was tampered with and caused damage to the vehicle.ALC is in the business of providing sub-prime lending to people, not repossessing carsALC exercises its contractual rights to collect on an outstanding debt only after every available alternative remains unsuccessfulOnly then does ALC exercise its legal rights to recoup the balance of the loanALC strictly adheres to the terms of the contract signed by the parties, and the applicable state and federal lawsIt is in everyone's best interest that the parties cooperate together to repay the loan, especially for ALC.Should Ms*** wish to obtain a copy of her file, and an explanation and itemization of the outstanding balance on her loan, ALC will be happy to provide her with whatever information she would likeAgain, ALC regrets any misunderstanding, and is willing to take whatever time needed to help resolve her dispute.Jim J***President, Affordable Loan Company

Mr. [redacted] stated he would pay again on 1-8-161-8-16 Mr. [redacted] came in and paid $100.001-18-16 Mr. [redacted] came in and talked with his account manager because he didn’t understand why he still owed. The account manager went over the account with him and he was told that the there was a balance left over because the insurance company did not pay off the loan because they deducted his deductable from the payment. The account is still accruing interest and late fees. He is only making small sporadic payments and it only covers the interest and late fees, Mr. [redacted] said he wasn’t aware of that. Account manager asked if he could pay off the account or set up on payment plan and he said no, he is a single father with another car payment. He said that he was not going to pay anymore and that we would have to sue him. I told him that I would let the manager know. Mr. [redacted] said thank you for explaining it to me and left. Mr. [redacted] had received receipts every time he came in and made a payment on this account they detailed where the money was applied. The total of the payments from Mr. [redacted] since the insurance payment is $251.74. As to him being written up for phone calls made to his work ALC was not aware and was not told not to call his work.    ALC’s policy regarding credit reporting is that ALC makes every effort to report credit information in a consistent and accurate manner, and also makes every effort to respond to disputes regarding the veracity of any such information. Further, ALC’s policy is that they will not remove accurate information simply because of a customer’s desire to have it removed. If Mr. [redacted] was to pay the account off ALC could then report to the credit bureaus the account has been paid in full.In sum, the terms of the contract do not change because the vehicle was totaled. And any amounts still due are within the terms of the contract. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require anything additional.Sincerely,Josie R[redacted]Operations Manager
