The Jules Poirier Company replaced all the windows, doors, and storm doors in our house and then installed vinyl siding on the exteriorThe project went very smoothly and and exactly as plannedWe were extremely happy with quality of craftsmanship and expertise shown by his workersThe punctuality of his workers was also extremely impressive, everyday they were here exactly when they said they would beEverything was completed within the timeframe that we were givenAlso, Jules was very easy to contact with any questions and concernsWe will certainly use the Jules Poirier Company again in the future and will definitely recommend him to family and friends

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: MrPoirier's accounting is totally contrary to my recollection of the facts First of all, I had contacted him in early January and he personally inspected the window on January 16, (Please note that the glass replacement was done six and half months later at the end of July, not in the spring as MrPoirier indicated) Had I not possessed the [redacted] window warranty, I would not have sought replacement from MrPoirier under the provisions of the warranty agreement His recollection of this fact is completely off base In addition, why would he agree to replace the glass if I didn't have the warranty? I had to follow up with him on several occasions, twice in June knowing that the home was closing in late July and that I needed the glass replaced prior to the transfer of home ownership Upon request, I can provide copies of two emails sent to MrPoirier's Web site in June asking for a status report Does this sound like we were willing to let "this be the next person's problem"? When his installer informed us that the window was not closing properly, we told him to fix it and he spent the next four hours supposedly doing what we had requested Upon leaving, he stated the window was "fixed"I didn't learn that the window closing problem had not been taken care of until the day of the closing, and it was too late to fix itI find MrPoirier's remarks ("just replace the glass, etc") to be both untruthful and unprofessional and extremely insulting to me On August 19, 2014' I emailed a note to mrPoirier's Web site expressing my complete dissatisfaction with the way he handled this matter A copy of that email is also available upon request No reply from MrPoirier As far as his contact with our lawyer, Mr [redacted] was trying to find out the facts because he knew I was very upset about the window I was not privy to that conversation, but our lawyer indicated that the gist of Mr Poirier's reply was that his employee had been with him for years and was deeply religious; therefore, he must be telling the truthWhat else was our lawyer supposed to do but thank him for his help? I realize that this is a "he said, she said" situation; however I honestly feel that we have substantiated our claims as to what actually happened and are not misrepresenting the facts to fit my version of the situation Sincerely, [redacted] ***

To whom it may concern:
In February I received a phone call from Mr*** pertaining to condensation in between the casement window glass in his kitchenI told Mr*** *o locate his contract and warrantee from the manufacturer. We then scheduled an appointment for me to evaluate the issue. Once I arrived, I looked at the window and noticed the brand name and that it was no longer in business. My company installs to different window products depending on the client’s needs. Mr*** would also tell me he could not locate the contract or his warrantee. I told Mr*** I would order a new piece of glass from a glass company at my expense and also install it at my expense. Later in February I contacted Mr*** and told him that the glass had arrived. At Mr*** recommendation he suggested we wait for warmer weather. He did not think it would be a good idea to replace the glass in degree temperatures. I agreed. I then contact Mr*** in the Spring to schedule a time. We connected and agreed on a day that would be convenient for him. I then sent my window installer who has been working with my company for yearsThat morning I would receive a phone call from my installer indicating the window was not functioning properly. My installer also brought this to Mr*** attention. Mr*** said “don’t worry install the glass; it will be the next persons problem.” I informed my installer to try and adjust the window the best he could. I never heard from Mr*** again. I then received a phone call from Mr*** attorney asking if I could adjust the window. We then went back a second time the next day. His attorney would call me again. I told the attorney that it was unfortunate that the manufacturer Mr*** requested upon his research on windows, was not my responsibility. His attorney informed me that he had put aside $in escrow to replace the window if it became an issue. I told him that I had spent $in labor and material so far trying to help Mr*** out. He then told me that he really appreciated the help I had given him and his client. At that point I had considered the matter closed

Dear Ms***
I am rejecting this response because:
MrPoirier's current reply not only fails to address my concerns, but lacks factual accuracy The manufacture rof the window was ***, a brand of window offered through *** holding company, *** *** headquartered in ***, ** Feel free to check out their Web site: ***
The "manufacturer" MrPoirier is referring to was, in fact, his distributor, * * * ***, which is no longer in business Their former address was *** *** *** ***, *** *** **
Contrary to what he just indicated, he committed to replacing the glass part of the window, rather than referring me directly to the manufacturer to seek glass replacement under the terms of the window warranty And when his installer replaced the glass, he damaged the window so it couldn't close and could not fix it MrPoirier can't have it both ways!
Thank you for giving my complaint your attention I greatly appreciate This is my final response
Sincerely,

In response to Mr*** rejection
As a license contractor in the State of *** I feel that it is not my responsible for the failure in a manufactured product I did not manufacture and that is no longer in business. I warranty my labor for one year from date of installation and not the materials

I am in the midst of having a lot of work done by this company, windows, doors, siding, and eventually a new roofJules attends each projectHis employees are respectful, clean, on time, take the time to explain their daily plans, and even took the time to get to know my dogsThe price is fair, no shortcuts taken, and my home is warmerI highly recommend this companyJules ensures every detail is handled correctly

Jules was a great contractor He did my roof years ago, my siding about years or so ago and I called him last year to replace some windows I only ever dealt with Jules His workers were friendly and professional I have since recommend Jules to friends and family (a few going with him) and it all worked out great I try to support local businesses and go with contractors I trust and Jules is one of them

I have had nothing but great experiences with Jules I have only ever talked with him or his daughter who now works with him They are both very professional and so are their installers Always have showed up on time (which ive had terrible luck with other contractors in the past) I was recommended by a friend years back and have since gone back to Jules times for roofing, gutters and some window issues, he has always helped me out and gotten back to me in the same day I 100% recommend him for the job

Mr. Poirier's accounting is totally contrary to my recollection of the facts.

On August 19, 2014' I emailed a note to mr. Poirier's Web site expressing my complete dissatisfaction with the way he handled this matter.  A copy of that email is also available upon request.  No reply from Mr. Poirier.

As far as his contact with our lawyer, Mr. [redacted] was trying to find out the facts because he knew I was very upset about the window.  I was not privy to that conversation, but our lawyer indicated that the gist of Mr Poirier's reply was that his employee had been with him for 30 years and was deeply religious; therefore, he must be telling the truth. I called here attempting to locate a locksmith shop. When I asked them they informed me they were only a mobile service at which time I said thank you and hung up. You would think that is where it would end..... but no. Someone with their company called and stared swearing at me for not continuing my call and it was then I told him I would file a review wilth the Revdex.com. He swore some more then hung up. They are at best very unprofessional and should not be allowed to continue business until the entire company completes anger management classes. It is apparent the use this tactic alot maybe for intimidation to get business, but it did not work.

Review: I am property chairman for Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church. As a result of a break in at [redacted] in July 2012 The keys for our Church were stolen. The Church contracted with Colonial Heights Lock & key to rekey seven (7) locks and provide 30 duplicate keys. This was done on their invoice [redacted] in the amount of $355.50 dated 2/24/12 and paid by the church with our check [redacted] 0n 7/31/12. Since this was the result of a break in, [redacted] was reimbursed for the loss. In the interim the church filed a claim with [redacted]. In February of 2013 [redacted] was reimbursed by their insurance carrier. Thinking the bill was still outstanding [redacted] paid this same invoice [redacted] in the amount of $355.50 to Colonial Heights Lock & Key by their check [redacted]. In other words Colonial Heights Lock & key has been paid twice for this service. Documentation of this over payment has been provided to Colonial Heights Lock & Key and they admit that they were paid twice. All attempts to get Colonial Heights Lock & Key to refund one of these payments to either Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church, Or [redacted]s has been unsuccessful.Desired Settlement: Either refund $355.50 to [redacted] or Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church [redacted]

To: [redacted]

Following is my response to a complaint against our company "Colonial Heights Lock & Key", ID [redacted]

As soon as our company was informed of the over payment the complainant was told that the matter would be turned over to our accounting department for investigation.

After it was confirmed that there indeed was an over payment our company immediately issued a refund check to the victim of the break-in which was the flower company, as it was our understanding that the church was reimbursed by their insurance company for the charges, and they in turn were going to be the one's who would wrongly benefit from being refunded twice.

We were instructed not to pay them nor discuss the matter with them due to their devious behavior in this attempt to collect monies not due to them, but refund the proper party involved which was the flower company.

As a result of this so called church's misconduct our company has put them and their board members on a "Do Not Service" list.

Thank you,

Colonial Heights Lock & Key
