Affordable Luxury Renovations Reviews (4)

We hired *** *** and affordable luxury renovation in July to replace our existing deck exactly as it was standing he failed to do that when you go out of the sliders there is now no step down I advised you that the 1.5” step down is a trip hazardAfter my advice, you agreed to NOT build the deck exactlyRemember we were concerned about ***'s inner ear problem and dizziness the cement that hold the x in the ground we're all different depths in the ground Allow me to correct you, but we used 6xpressure treated postsAnd please correct me if I'm wrong but I think what you want to say is that the footings are above the ground at different heightsThis will not effect the structural integrity of the deckThe footings are all approximately to the 42” frost line with exception to one of the footings hitting ledgeI could bring an excavator and add to the cost of the deck, but saw no need to take those drastic steps because it will not affect the integrity of the deck all the wood was cut using a dull blade and all the edges of the Wood was splintered We do not use dull bladesSplintering is common when cutting any wood particularly pressure treated wood which is wet when delivered and takes 6-months to dryThe next step for me was to sand the edges and remove the splintersHowever, you wanted us to remove the wood decking after it was at the final stages of completion and re-install the whole deck with composite deckingRemember I advised you to build with composite decking due to the short-falls of pressure treated woodYou insisted we use pressure treated against my adviceAnd when you saw the issues with your own eyes you changed your mind the top step down was at least an inch higher than the steps so we would trip coming up the slab of cement at the bottom step was not long enough to step down onto when coming off the bottle m deck so you would trip going down The stairs were constructed using the stringers from the current old deck as the template per your insistenceThe stairs are exactly the same as the old stairs but new and improved and structurally strongerAny deviation in riser height is due to the design of the original stairs which you insisted we duplicate the steps the rails were coming apart I don't recall any such issuesHowever our work is guaranteed for one year under conditionsYou just need to inform us of the issue so we can come fix it, but you never informed us until now the post were on the wrong side I don't know what you meanPlease adviseYou never informed us of any such issue when you presented your last payment after you inspected and informed us you were happy with all construction workWhy would you pay us if you have issues? Remember you signed the final invoice which states: “By signing I agree that the work was completed as agreed and is to my complete satisfaction“ footings were not in deep enough I don't know what you meanIs this a repeat complaint I responded earlier? spaces in the floor were uneven with each other Spaces between pressure treated wood decking often vary due to the milling of the wood, warpage, shrinkage as the wood driesWhen the decking was installed, all the spaces were even as humanly possibleWe used a special tool to place hidden CAMO fasteners that forces the wood to be as even as possible when we brought our concerns to ***'s attention he said if we redid the deck and composite and went with him he would lower it at no cost to us and then he said, "i'll see you in court" I'm sorry this comment is very difficult to understandI recall offering you my free services to lower the deckI don't understand the rest of the commentWe did agree late Fall that I would come back in Spring as weather allowed to make any changes you deemed necessaryHowever when I contacted you in Spring you told me you had filed a complaint because I did not contact you the VERY first day of Spring and that I could not contact you any furtherYou told me that “the only resolution to this situation is a full refund or small claims court you choose”Please don't take my incorrectly quoted statement out of contextAllow me to give it in the correct context with the correct words after your threat of bringing me to court, “Again I hold no ill will against you if you would like to resolve this as I said I will do my best once again to make you happyIf not then I guess I'll see you in court” [*** is full of lies after liesI have pictures to prove what a terrible job he did doHe hasn't not responded to any of my questions, what was he going to do to make it rightAnd why did you use and admitted to using a dull blade I don't know where or how you think I have lied to youI and deeply sad and insulted at the slight to my integrityI can produce multiple references to vouch on the caliber of my work and integrity from both my personal and professional lifeRecall you *** and *** were both there throughout the project to inspect and approveAlso, I have ALL the texts as proof and will submit to Revdex.com or anyone upon request to verify and solidify my defense of my reponses to your unwarranted attacks on my character Sincerely, *** ***

We take costumer satisfaction vary seriously and have been in business for over years without a single incident or complaintI am personally insulted by there safety commentI put a lot of effort into trying work with *** and her partner ***They had me change the quote for this project
three times before they decided to hire usWhen they first voiced there concerns I addressed it that dayI reminded them that the deck was built as they insisted and that they were present during the entire processWhen the deck was completed they both inspected it, thanked us and told us how much they loved it and the extras we did at no extra costApproximately two weeks later I received a massage that they were no longer satisfied with the wood deck and had called another contractor to make changesI called them and met with them that same dayI told them I would make changes to the deck but it would have to be done the way I originally suggestedBecause winter was coming and they now wanted a composite deck, which was part of the original quot, we agreed I would return in the spring as weather allowedI contacted them on May 10thTo set a date for the changesThey told me I should have called them the vary first day of spring and because of that they were going to take me to courtI tried to reason with them but they would not be reasoned withI have printed copy's of all there text massages to back up this statement
