Affordable Maytag

Review: I tried to set up service call to have my dishwasher evaluated and repaired under a factory warranty plan. This dishwasher was not the same brand as to what the store sold for brand name appliances. However, the appliance manufacturer (LG) had contracted this dealer to do all their repair work in the area. The appliance manufacturer gave me a reference number and told me to set up the appointment directly with this service contracter and give him the reference number when I called. This is exactly what I need.

However, when I called to schedule the appointment, the service person agrued with me over the phone, and told me that he makes next to nothing for the service call from this manufacturer and that he needed more information from the appliance manufacturer in order to do the work. I explained that I had called twice already and that they gave me (and emailed him) all the information needed to do the repair. The manufacturer customer service representative even tried to call the this contractor directly when I was still on the phone, but which she had no success because they did not answer the phone. I politely asked him to contact the manufacturer directly if he needed more information since he had already been authorized to do the evaluation and repair for them. The service person continued to argue with me and hung up by slamming down the phone.

I felt by intimindated and never experienced such unprofessionalism and rude behavior in my life when dealing with a service department. I returned the call to the appliance manufactuer and filed a complaint with them as well.Desired Settlement: Since Affordable Maytag Home Appliance Centers is an authorized service contractor for LG and has an obligation to service their customers, and also since LG does not have any other service contractors in the area, I would like to be reimbursed for any out-of-pocket expenses I may incur as a result of having to go an unauthorized service center to have my dishwasher repaired.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Affordable Maytag did repair my dishwasher under the manufacturer's warranty after the Revdex.com complaint was filed and [redacted] (business representative) did contact me to make sure everything was okay. So, I agree that the issue has been resolved.
