Recently I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com regarding Affordable Mechanics in Fort Myers Florida. Since then the business has reached out to me to explain what happened with their business location in Fort Myers Florida. They have offered to help me get the parts they replaced inspected at another business. This is a totally acceptable resolution to my problem and I rescind my complaint in its entirety.
They repaired the A/C last summer in my scion XB. In August they closed for "upgrading" their facility. Then they just disappeared. Phone is no longer in service. So, $1200.00 later I still don't have air conditioning in my car and the "warranty" is useless. If they resurface STAY AWAY.
This customer has written a patently false review, and our company is investigating legal action against her for writing a false review, as we do in all cases of false reviews.
This customer was a repeat customer of our Fort Myers location. She liked our services so much, she even referred her daughter for service. It was our pleasure to serve them to the highest level of quality and to do so at an unbeatable price that she could not get anywhere else for the work performed. She was treated to free car washes and a free Black Car service to and from our shop, for free. It's a shame she would write such a terrible review about a company she was so satisfied with.
In August 2018, we sold our Fort Myers location to another repair shop. Affordable Mechanics of America no longer operate in that market.
This customer wrote an email to our company on Dec. 3 telling us that her air conditioning went warm. Many months ago, she had her A/C compressor replaced along with a few other components at our shop. We responded to her, that day, via email, that A/C systems have many components....dozens.....and that if the problem was coming from a part that was purchased and installed by our shop, that indeed the warranty would cover it and we would set her up with another provider to do the repairs, at our expense. We also informed her that it was very likely that the scenario she was experiencing was the result of a Freon leak, which comes about from worn hoses or seals. VERY common. Especially on her 10+ year old, high mileage vehicle. That would not be covered by our warranty, unless the leak was related to one of the parts we sold her and replaced. The same type of warranty that's standard in the industry.
Instead of moving forward with the claims process, she wrote a review the next day telling the world that we "just disappeared" and to "stay away". She flat out ignores the fact that we responded to her with instructions for making a claim, and we responded to her immediately.
Unfortunately, we are sorry to report, that this customer wrote a false and misleading review. We are a 5-Star Rated, "A" Rated company with Revdex.com. We have never had a complaint.
