I am rejecting this response because: The response doesn't respond to the basic issue that the Mr*** simply flat out lied to my wife when he asked for and received from her a check for $by telling her it was an advance against future work of installing cabinets The lie was the basis for our not letting him do any further work for us and requesting the $advance back We are still pursuing the return of that money

Review: [redacted] doing business as Affordable Painting took a deposit for $570 for a painting job. When it came time to perform the work he decided to NOT do the job and kept the deposit. I called him and asked him to return the deposit and he has NOT.Desired Settlement: I would like him to return the $570 deposit for non-performance of work. I have an estimate he wrote up and a copy of the check he stole.
