Mr [redacted] was given alternate choices and estimates to replace the system.  He refused the options and chose to attempt repair to existing system.  At that time the homeowner ordered a screen for the resin tank.  The plumber ordered parts to attempt to rebuild the system.  In June, The owner supplied part was installed.  A pressure Regulator was installed on the main water line to reduce the amount of water pressure to the home from 90 to 70.  The softener still did not function according to Mr. [redacted].  We returned on July 13, 2017 to rebuild the Fleck softener.  Once again, the plumber explained that the salt reservoir was not large enough.  In August, [redacted] spoke with Mr [redacted] explaining once again a larger reservoir was needed.  He told Mr [redacted] that if we came across a used one that was in good condition; we would give it to him.  We do not have any parts to give him at this time.  As we definitely understand his frustration, we tried to explain to Mr [redacted] that his water softening system needed to be replaced during our first visit to his home.  As a family owned and operated company, we go above and beyond to try to please the public and maintain our reputation.  Customer service is a priority.  Affordable Plumbing management will not be providing a full refund.Sincerely,[redacted]Office Manager

I am rejecting this response because:Revdex.com, many thanks for providing a valuable service to the community.The response from Affordable Plumbing is an interesting rewrite of history, let me provide the accurate details.My softener has worked flawlessly for 6 years, and I believe Affordable did the initial installation. Fact.The plumber that originally looked at the unit we have told me Fleck was one of the few softeners worthy of repair and he could repair the unit.  Fact.I ordered the exact parts the plumber from Affordable Plumbing told me to order for the repair. Fact.I also told them to install the pressure regulator as the plumber had suggested, though the unit worked flawlessly for 6 years without a pressure regulator.  Fact.I did call the owner, [redacted] the first week of August, and he said he would put in a larger salt tank.  Fact.I called [redacted] multiple times a month later to understand when/if they were going to fix my softener and he never returned my call.  Fact.Suggestion to replace my unit? I have no recollection of that, though the plumber did say there were other alternatives on the market that softened water. Fact.The bit about going above and beyond to take care of customers.  Not even close to being a fact.If Affordable chooses to run from this customer satisfaction issue and not make good on the refund request, it is strictly their decision.
