HelloThank you for the opportunity to respond to this customers concerns. Please forgive the delay as we have been gratefully busy. The customer, Mr [redacted], called out company and ordered a remanufactured transfer case at 10am on Friday June 10th 2016. Time was a concern for him and we assured...

him the product would ship the same business day and travel time to his area was 2 business days. We emailed a copy of his receipt, our warranty/core return policy to the email he provided which is j[redacted][email protected]. This was done before 1030am EST.. His receipt, our warranty, core return policy are all on the front page of our website. We came into the office on Saturday 6/11/16 and noted we had a missed call from the customer at around 12 midnight and then a voicemail at 1230am EST. We immediately called the customer who requested the order be cancelled. We explained the unit had shipped out as promised around 5pm the day before. We explained it was already in Tennessee per the tracking number but he could stll return the unit. We explained, as our warranty paperwork states, that he would simply need to call us when he received it and we would give him an RMA number. We also advised that he needed to used the prepaid UPS mailer in the container that would have been used to return his core. That would save money and time. The customer did receive the shipment he ordered on 6/14/16 as promised. However the customer did a "refused shipment" instead of using the prepaid mailer. This caused not only additional charges on our end but a delay as well. Instead of us receiving the unit back on 6/16/16 we received it on 6/17/16We immediately refunded the customer on 6/17/16 minus the shipping expenses and our restocking fee. This is standard practice and is on the warranty page that was emailed to the customer and is on the front page of our website.  If you have any questions or need any documentation please email or call Sincerely   Affordable Powertrain, LLC[redacted]

As a sealed unit the transfer case should not have leaked at all. Nowhere in the warranty does it state that I had voided anything. This company is trying to cover their losses on selling bad parts. They sold me a leaky broke transfer case and I contacted them about it and they had me crawl under my truck and do thier job. Then when the part ultimatly failed due to poor craftsmanship they scape goated the blame on the last person to touch it. No where have I voided their warranty as per thier warranty. Tge salesman talked a slick game of a bullitproof reengineered transfercase and it didnt last a year. Id just as soon have my money back than put another piece of remanufactured garbage under my truck. A company should use a warranty not as a selling point but a promise that their product is good and they stand behind it. From day one this company has tried to get out of living up to their warranty. Shame on them.

Hello,Thank you for providing a receipt. The email we received states you made a purchase of 1050.00 which we don't have any records of. We appreciate the opportunity to address this issue as we know car troubles can be stressful. The customer purchased a completely remanufactured transfer case from us on 7/16/14. We received a call from the customer on 8/14/14 stating the unit was leaking. The customer talked directly to our tech support department who immediately informed him to identify the leak area and call us back so that we could address the issue. We did not hear from the customer again unit April 1st of 2015 when he then called and stated the unit had failed from lack of fluid.. When asked why he did not get back to us on August 14th 2014 he stated he had "fixed" the problem by "torquing down" the studs. Our warranty clearly states we reserve the right repair or replace any problem with our products (see attached)Our warranty is clear. It is on our website. It was sent to the customer along with the receipt he just presented. We explained the procedure over the phone the very day he initially contacted us on August 14th 2014. We walked him through the steps to a solution yet he took it upon himself to "fix" the problemWe have offered several times, even though the warranty has been voided, to completely replace the unit for half the costs.  The customer would need to ship the original unit back to us plus pay 397.50 and we will ship a completely remanufactured unit out with a full new warranty. The customer would only need to contact us with payment and we will provide the shipping address for the original unit. (we already emailed this to the customer on April 1st)We would very much like to help this customer and this is what we are willing to doThank you for the opportunity to address this issue[redacted]Affordable Powertrain, LLC[redacted]

As a sealed unit it was defective as it should never have leaked. Repair or replace does not mean resell at half cost. I followed the recomendation of the company at the first leak and the problem stopped. I saw no reason to have to call them back as I had done what they said to do. The warranty is over the second leak that formed after the mode selector fork bolt came undone and sprayed fluid all over the bottom of my truck. This happened after many miles of driving out of town and is completely unrelated to my first phone call with this company.

Hello,Thank you again for the opportunity to respond to this concern. Unfortunately, our warranty requirements were not followed. When you contacted us on August 14th 2014 our specific instructions were to identify the source of the leak and call us back immediately. We gave no other instructions than those. ..We received a picture from the customer (which is attached already) of a missing wishbone plug along with the following email on April 14 th[redacted]
** **    Here are photos of reciepts and transfer case.   The top adjustment plug came out.  This is the reason fluid came out of case.  I will photo copy these receipts and send them to you.   How do I go about mailing this back????  Thank you. This is a threaded wishbone plug. Its is threaded into the very housing not plugged in. The above email states it "came out" and that loss of fluid caused failure. Then we received an email on April 16th (Its already attached as well) from a company know as ATS stating the front stud was missing causing the internal components to shift? We're confused because we just got a picture with a threaded wishbone plug missing that caused fluid loss? When the customer called on April 1 st we inquired about why he never call backed in August of 2014 and he stated he "torqued a stud done" which sounds like the ATS review? The warranty was voided when the customer decided to disregard our specific instructions on August 14th 2014. However, in the spirit of "good faith" our offer still stands. We very much appreciate this opportunity to respond to this concern. Our status on this is firmThank you again[redacted]Affordable Powertrian LLC[redacted]
