Affordable Quality Painting

In the Spring of 2015, Frank and his crew prepped and painted my two-story home in Camarillo. They patched and repaired stucco and tightened and sealed all the corners and seams, even replacing a dry-rotted portion of trim and installing a pre-hung side door for my garage. The price was extremely reasonable and my house looks fantastic. They were thorough, clean and professional. I have already recommended Affordable Quality Painting to several of my friends.

This guy talks good but leaves work undone and does cheap work when you pay him good money,

Complaint[redacted] substituted a different product for the Minwax stain which I selected and did not leave me with any leftover stain. [redacted] was hired last fall to stain woodwork in several rooms of my home. He asked me to choose the stain shades from a Minwax color chart. Upon completion of the work, he did not leave any leftover stain. Shortly afterward, I asked [redacted] to confirm the shade and sheen of the stain used because I needed to purchase some for touch ups. He told me that he did not know what his employees used, but that it was still in their van and he would drop it off at my home. He did not. I followed up with additional phone calls and learned during one of those conversations that [redacted] had substituted a different product for the Minwax I had chosen. Although he told me again that he would drop off the leftover stain, he did not. I learned from a neighbor who had also hired him, that he substituted products for them, too. Even though I feel that the leftover stain which I paid for should have been given to me, all I am asking for is the name, shades and sheens of the product he used so that I can purchase the product on my own. Desired SettlementI want [redacted] to provide me with the NAME of the stain brand used, the SHADES that were used (living room, bedroom, and kitchen), and the SHEEN type. My complaint has nothing to do with PAINT. He was hired to do three separate jobs at my house. He is correct when he states that he left PAINT cans with me. He left PAINT for my garage, my bedroom walls, and my living room walls. None of those cans are missing. I am shocked that he would imply that another painter (who was hired to wallpaper my bathroom) would remove personal property from my house.What he DID NOT leave was any of the STAIN that his workers must have custom mixed on their own and which most likely cannot now be duplicated. [redacted] has left me in a position of not being able to touch up any of the window frames, baseboard or doors that his workers stained for me. He and I spoke about the missing STAIN several times, so he is being less than honest.
