I would not recommend this business, they misappropriated a check and I never got my money back as result of their mistakes During the process they continually lost paperwork that was submitted , missed court submission dates and made up excuses why they missed the date ; as a result, made me lose another months rent during the eviction process How they got a “A+” rating is beyond me— they were horrible and I would not recommend this company

I haven't received any bad attitudes from the office workers, in fact they all seem pretty nice and mostly professionalhowever, the fact that there isn't a hour emergency maintenance phone number to call is awfulour hot water has shut off or broke times now and I had to wait until the weekend that it happened on to even be able to call and ask to get it fixedThe other tenants in the building have told me that they have been complaining about cockroaches for at least a year now, and all this company sends is a person with no experience in pest control with a spray bottle of some chemical, it does nothing and this company absolutely refuses to hire a professional for a measly $If I could fix something about this company it would be to create a hour maintenance hotline and switch it between workers every week or soTake pest control seriously because it is an issue with health and safety which is apart of your job

Absolutely rule, they showed up to my address COMPLETELY unannounced and tried to come inWhen I denied them they rejected my application and I went to pick up my money I had put downThe female at the counter proceeded to refuse the shredding of my PERSONAL information, threaten me, make me and my baby sit in the waiting area for minutes because she would give me my thingsShe taunted me the entire time and made my child cryShe laughed at me and talked inappropriate to her co workers about me and my childPlease be carefulThey write their own reviews witch is how they get their A+ rating because they are anything but A+

Our family has been using Affordable Rentals for many years since we own multiple rental properties throughout the city Many of our tenants are long term tenants and if they do move, often stay within the Affordable Rental System Why do we, as well as our tenants, stay with them for years? The reason is because they are outstanding! Their service provided, responsiveness to maintenance requests, record keeping, depth of background checks (which is why they visit prospective new tenants homes unannounced to try ensure that they are who they say they are)I would highly recommend using them- both as a landlord and as a tenant

Review: I am a property owner and landlord. I came across the Rent-A-Worker program from the Easy Evict website, all owned by [redacted]. I needed a house cleaned out and decided to talk with personal at Affordable Rentals. They gave me the prices of the workers over the phone which lined up with the website prices. They said (2) people work together.

([redacted] Street) The house that I needed cleaned out should have taken 2-3 hours max. They filled up 2 pick-up trucks full of garbage and took to the dump and tried to cut the grass. The lot size is probably .20 acres (small city lot). They also tried cutting the backyard which grass was very long. So all in all they cut a area of about 20 ft x 30 ft. The total cost and time for the job at this house was 11.8 hours $227.20.

(48th Street) I only hired to cut the lawn. Was not that long. About 4-6 inches. Lot size again about .20 acres. I was charged 4.6 hours $89.60

The prices that I received on the bill are not the same prices I was quoted over the phone or even the prices that are stated on the website. I have called about 3 times requesting to talk with someone. But to no avail. So I started emailing the personal at the office of Affordable Rentals. I was sent some pictures that I was already familiar with. I had taken my own that morning. Finally I had contact with the owner, [redacted], and trying to appeal my case and concern, he would not reconsider the amount of the bill. Also stated that these were good workers and highly requested and quick.

I am very handy and well able to do this work and quote for amount of time a job would take. Landlord and homeowner for 13+ years.

Here I am today. I would rather resolve this without having to do this. But after 13-14 days have had no successful response via email or telephone.Desired Settlement: All that I would ask is to:

1. Honor the price that is shown on the internet.

2. Be honest and realistic about how long it would take to cut a .20 acre lot. (see above for time charged)

3. Be honest and realistic also about how long it took to clean out property. (see above for time charged)

4. Re-adjust the bill that was sent out with correct amount and put with due date on invoice.

5. Have better communication with those who use or hire using their Rent-A-Worker program.

Response:

Mr. [redacted] hired Affordable Rental Associates, LLC to provide clean out services for his rental properties on a time and material basis.

Despite Mr. [redacted] claims that is should have been a 2-3 hour job, it was in fact an extensive clean out with two full trucks of debris. The lawns were very overgrown and had to have debris cleaned before mowing. In fact the one at [redacted] was so long that our mower could not cut it.

Mr. [redacted] is not being honest when he stated that we did not respond to his billing question and complaint. Attached as [redacted]_1.pdf is a series of emails going back to 8/8/13. Also attached is another email thread as [redacted]_2.pdf as well as a copy of the workers' time sheet.

[redacted], our maintenance manager reviewed the job and found the amount of time reasonable given the debris in the unit and the two trips to the dump. Google Maps shows an estimated drive time of 21-25 minutes each way, using US 41 or I-43. However a full truck load of debris necessitates using side streets, in this case 35th Street. Google maps shows that as 26-28 minutes each way. Plus there is wait time and unloading time at the dump. Given this it is easily 2-3 hours just in dump time.

I too found the job time reasonable given the scope, travel time to and from the dump and the added time for the workers to protect themselves from a flea infestation. The loose debris had to be bagged before transport. The crew leader on this job has been with us for over three years. We have not received complaints about his work prior to this and in fact many owners we work with request him because they are pleased with his work.

The only error I found was that both workers were shown as doing the lawn mowing when in fact one worker was at the clean out while the other was mowing the lawns for the first couple of hours. This data entry error did not change the amount charged, only the allocation between jobs. $40 to mow one overgrown lawn, the front of a second and to make a good attempt at the back yard of the second property that was too tall to cut with a conventional mower, is reasonable.

Although they are willing to work with renters on late rent payments etc. They never respond in a timely manner, further they have no 24 hour emergency maintenance. The first day I moved in I called and reported a cockroach infestation and needed this resolved; 2 years later the issue is still ingoing, yes they send matinence to spray but not professionals. Also the first day I needed commode repair as it flooded the floor every flush, took them 2 days to fix! My car was stolen with house key address and all my information, I called at the start of buisness to request the lock replaced and explained the emergent issue; as previously stated they have no after hours services so I called at the close of business to confirm they would indeed be out today, the woman was VERY rude and said oh well that's not our problem. Yes it is, if I become a victim of home invasion and I am not allowed to change the lock myself. I can't wait until I am able to move!!!
