Review: I paid for a leak in my roof to be fixed, the same day the roof was patched it rained and the roof still leaked. I called the next day and asked for them to return to complete the work. I was told they could come out that day, when I stated I wasn't available they said I didn't need to be home for the work to be done. I informed them I wanted to be home to verify they actually came back and the work was done correctly this time. Mr. M[redacted] told me no then hung up on me. I called him back and was told that "sometimes patches in a roof don't work and that's just the way it is". I asked him to return another day to finish the work I paid him for and he said "no I'm not coming back another day that's just the way it is". He then hung up on me. I called him a 3rd and 4th time and he did not answer. Mr. M[redacted] was extremely rude and berated me to the point of saying, "you just go out and get your hair and nails done and we will come by today while you're gone" (assuming that comment was made because I am a female). Mr. M[redacted] would not let me speak or try to come to an agreement on a day he could come back as he was constantly yelling at me and interrupting me.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the total amount of $175 that was paid for work that was not completed. I paid for a leak to be fixed, which was not done, and Mr. M[redacted] has made it clear he does not plan on returning to finish the job he was hired for.

Revdex.com spoke with the owner of the business who stated that when the customer informed him the roof was still leaking, he offered a date to come and look at the issue. He said that the customer declined as she wasn't going to be at home at that time, and asked him to come out Sunday, which he was not able to do. He said that at that point she decided to hire another roofer, and he told her he would just give a refund. He stated that he mailed the check for $175 this week.

Mr. M[redacted] contacted me on 10/13/15 and stated he would refund the $175. On 10/20/15 I contacted Mr. M[redacted] and informed him I had not yet received the refund. He informed me he put it in the mail on 10/16/15 and I should get it soon. As of 10/22/15 I have yet to received the refund from Mr. M[redacted]. Once I have received the refund I will consider the matter as closed and accept the resolution. Thank you.

Review: [redacted] came to my house to provide a warranty service inspection of the roof that he installed. When he got in his truck to leave, he backed onto my grass lawn, became stuck because of recent rains, gunned his engine and spun the real wheels - destroying a large section of my lawn. I have photographs to prove how much damage he caused to my lawn. It took 5 telephone calls to [redacted] to discuss this matter with him and ascertain what his intentions were to fix the problem. He became argumentative - blamed the incident on "the width of my drive-way", and was otherwise rude and insulting. I attempted to pin him down on the corrective action he intended to take and the time frame for such action to be taken, and he argued with me stating that "you really are too concerned with this, aren't you". He would not provide details regarding repairing the damage that he caused - and said only that he would have his boy take care of it - and perhaps on the weekend.Desired Settlement: I want [redacted] to either pay for the repair of the damage he caused to my lawn or correct the damage to my satisfaction and under my personal supervision. I do not trust [redacted] to be able to repair the damage because of his attitude and aptitude. The damage that he caused is extensive.

After speaking with [redacted] from the company on 10/16/13 he stated he will be willing to come back out to the customer's house and put some top soil and grass seed in attempts to repair the lawn. The customer would need to call the company to set up a time to come back out.

Review: Affordable Roofing owned by [redacted] has failed to satisfy his obligation to repair the water damage to the interior of the home, garage, and valuable art work. This damage was incurred during a recent downpour in June 2013 during the beginning stage of the roof replacement. The partially replaced roof was left exposed to heavy rains because measures were not taken by Affordable Roofing to prevent this from happening. Two contractors have undertaken to complete the repair of the damaged home. [redacted] refuses to pay the painter contractor($500.00) for his work. He also refuses to pay for the repair of the art work($342.59). All of the damage described is fully documented with photographs.Desired Settlement: I expect $842.59 in cash or bank check.

I spoke with [redacted] and he says that he has paid $2800 for the consumers sheetrock to be replaced even though the wall only got damped. He is not willing to do any more for the consumer.
