I have read the complaint and while I agree that this process has gone on for a very long time I cannot refund the money because the A/C units have been paid for and work has been started meaning the old A/C units have been removed and we are awaiting the new A/C units
Every time that I
have been contacted by *** *** *** I would always call the A/C company that we paid for these A/C units and they have given us the run around
I agree that we did let the ball drop in this case but if there are no new updates there is nothing to pass on to the customerWe have performed half the work in removing the old A/C units from the vehicle but haven't received the new A/C units as of today 06/24/
Due to the work being started and half of it being performed there is no refund that will be issued but we will be following up with the manufacturer and see what is happening with these unitsI will be following up with *** *** *** within the next two weeks
I do apologize for this process but we have prepaid for the A/C units and those monies are non refundableWe are caught in the middle of this but I will put more pressure on the A/C manufacturer as to where the A/C unit is
*** ***

Just so we are clear, I had to call back the next day on the 3rd to veriy that they would be refunding the money; and yes they did which was the correct thing to doI was told I would not be refunded any money and that I needed to speak to the manager ***, only once I submited this claim with Revdex.com did I get any forward movement in resolving this issue.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
Sincerely,

Business lies and steals from customers and employees!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
50% of the work was not completed as described by the owner. Only the cover of the unit was removed. The old unit is still on the vehicle untouched. We were never informed about status until this complaint. This is the first response from the company describing what work they believe has been done. The invoice and terms of payment being non refundable was never disclosed until now. Calls made to this business were never returned. This is disappointing because this is the first explanation and response we have received since the check was signed over to Affordable Towing Service. This just appears to be another stalling tactic by this business and we will never see our money, or the AC unit that was paid for.

Attention Revdex.com:I am responding to the complaint that was submittedby [redacted] on May 20,2015 ID number [redacted].On March 23,2015,Mr.[redacted] brought his vehicle to Affordable Tow wanting us to change his fuel filter, complaining of a leak coming from the oilcooler, and the temperature...

gauge on the dashboard didn'twork. While fillingout the work order,he indicated in his own handwriting, the problems on the "Services Requested" part of the work order. He was informedby Patrick that a
diagnosis had to be performed in order for the mechanic to know what and where the problem is and coming from. When the mechanic did the diagnosis,he found that the temperature gauge sensorwas broken and recommended it be changed. On that particular day,we changedonly the fuel filter and he told Patrick that he would come back to have the temp gauge and the oil cooler leak fixed.Mr. [redacted] brought the vehicle back on May 05,2015 to have the oil cooler and the temp gauge sensor replaced. He complained about white smokecoming from the exhaustwhen first starting
in the morning and that his emergency brake light indicatorwasn't working. The mechanic replacedthe temp gauge sensor and the air cooler as Mr. [redacted]wanted. When Mr. [redacted] took the vehicle out,he called the dispatch office about 45 minutes later complaining of the temp gauge not working, knocking of the engine, white smoke comingfrom the tailpipeand the vehicle was overheating due tothe antifreeze on the ground. We sent a mechanic out to where Mr. [redacted]was and he tells him thatthe work we did had nothingto do with the problemhe is having. He wanted us to tow the vehicle back to our shop and Patrick told him if the problem is from the work we did, then therewouldn't be a tow chargeand if it's not our fault,he would have to pay for the tow. We diagnosed the white smoke and foundout that the passenger side injector is bad and there was raw diesel fuel leaking in the motor. He insisted that we caused the problems when that is not true. We only fixed what he asked us to fix.The temp gauge sensor was broken and Mr. [redacted] did not want us to trace the electrical lines to find where the problem was after we found that the sensorwasn't the only problem. He didn't want to pay any additional money to find the problem.Mr. [redacted] is complaining about the knockingnoise from the engine when really
it was the injector causing the miss. This miss is caused because raw dieselis pouring into the cylinderand that cylinder is not firing. When Patrick told him that,he didn't believe
what was being said. One more thing is that we didn't chargehim for is trying to troubleshoot the miss which was found in the passenger side cylinderhead. We had over 20 hours of labor looking for the problem and putting all the parts back together. All of his injectorswere not torqued to manufacturer specs which is what we found. We went out of our way to make sure he was satisfied with the work we performed
and to save him money. When he met up with our boss he threatened to call his attorney,Revdex.com,[redacted],and then to sue us thinkinghe would scare us into fixinghis vehicle for free. This is when my bosscalmly told him to remove his vehiclefrom the premisesbecause we were tired of dealing
with someone who wants his vehicle fixed right but only fix what he wants fixed and nothingmore. We even put the engine back together but it wouldn't run properly because raw fuel was shooting into the cylinder. We informed
[redacted]that the truck wouldn't run properly and that it had to be towed out.Sincerely:Affordable Towing Service Inc.

My response and backup documentation are attached.
Running? Knock, knock? Who's there? Could we elevate the language of this dispute from the childish direction that it seems to be going in?Let's take it from the top. "The A/C worked for only one day because we informed [redacted] if the A/C goes out there is another problem with the A/C but our sniffer couldn't pick it up."  Now I'm a laymen, I admit, but that just sounds like "we don't know what's wrong but we did something and it may or may not have fixed the problem, but we charged you so hope it works." It didn't work. As far as the free a/c service, we were clearly charged on page 4 of invoice [redacted] - Evac recovery & re-charge system -$190.00,Freon [redacted] - Charged by the pound,2.5 x 27.50 = $68.75 and a/c synthetic oil for [redacted] System -$27.50. Idon't see where he gave me anything for free because he felt sorry for me. He didn't provide a/c or Freon for free when we brought it back because that had nothing to do with the problem, so that wouldn't make sense either. It's Devin that Ifeel sorry for, he's not even familiar with what is on his invoices. On his wall it clearly says that the diagnostic charges are $175.00, so why were we charged $408.38, especially for something that should have already been addressed? Ifthe A/C compressor was leaking why not give us the option of fixing it then, why fix a switch that did nothing to address the problem? Maybe if a certified mechanic had looked at it, they could have figured out what the problem was.Clearly there are none at your shop since you stated "He talks about ASE certified mechanic, which there are a lot of them on this island - there is no difference between us and another shop." Obviously there is. When we took the [redacted] to an ASE certified mechanic, he was able to do everything that Devin was not, as you can see on the attached invoice, which was paid. He had to re-do a lot of what Devin supposedly did the first time, albeit at a fraction of what Devin wanted.  And,to no surprise, the truckno longer shuts down in the middle of the street.I agreed to the work that was being done not knowing there would be a 300% markup on the parts that were used. Once Ifound that out, of course Ididn't want to pay that. And if that is not the case then simply produce the invoices showing what you paid, it's that easy...unless you have something to hide.I'd also like to address the "shop supplies" line item that seems like just another arbitrary way to jack up the invoice even higher. We were charged $356.29 for rags and shop towels among other items. Isn't that just the price of doing business as a business owner? How do we know that you used anything near that amount of suppl.ies? The same line item is on all of our invoices and the prices range from $25.00  to the aforementioned $365.29 with no actual accounting for quantity...sounds made up to me.I told Devin that I would pay for the parts (once I received the invoices) and a fair amount for labor. never said that I wouldn't pay for any labor, which would be ridiculous. Another issue in dispute is that my ASE certified mechanic told me that everything Devin did to the [redacted] should have taken only a couple of hours, not the 8 hours that I was charged for. Maybe that is the difference, the work takes four times as long if you are not certified. Iwould have never given my truck to him if I had known there were no certified mechanics in his shop.As for the emails, your Assistant Patrick is the person that I've been in contact with as you can see in the attachments. Even your own employees know that your practices are unprofessional. Also, I was referring to emails sent after the check stop payment was put through. We did lose touch earlier when my phone was cut off and you did find me through email.  Finally, we are not running from you Devin. We happened to move in October to another apartment. I promise, our lives are not revolving around this situation, we wouldn't move our family around because of this.Oh and as far as the "truth" setting you free, you have 14 bad reviews on Yelp, that's the truth. We  don't need to smear your business, many others have already done so. You also have 5 prior complaints on the Revdex.com. I assume that the other unhappy customers just didn't bother to weigh in.Needless to say,we will not be satisfied until we get copies of the invoices for the parts that were used. Then we can go from there. Obviously we have no trouble paying our legitimate bills, we just don't like being cheated. We are happy to resolve this in this forum, if not,we look forward to our day in court
Sincerely,
[redacted]

This customer was refunded his money of$ 193.72 on the same day the tow came in. As for the rude service I do apologize if my employee acted in a unprofessional manner. On February 3, 2015 this customer called back and talked with our dispatch person and they informed him that his money...

was refunded in full on 02/02/2015. I thought  this situation was taken care of but the customer  may have forgotten  what he was told on ()2/03/2015. If you should have any questions please call me and we can discuss them. Sincerely:

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
1. The service provider should obviously know the proper name of the customer as [redacted] and NOT Mr. [redacted].
2.  On May 5th my vehicle was brought back and the mechanic did replace the temp gauge sensor and the air cooler. Prior to leaving the property, I started my truck and noticed that the temp gauge was still not in proper working condition. When mentioning this to the Mechanic Gordon and the shop Attendant (Patrick) they told me that the truck had to warm up. The owner also informed me that his testor device did show one error code still and wasn't sure what it was at that time but assumed it may be the injector which we could address later. I eventually left the shop traveling approximately 10-15 miles away from the shop (Pearl City) the truck begins to overheat, the service engine light appears and white smokes appears from the front of the engine and NOT the tailpipe as indicated in his response. I would think if the temp gauge sensor was properly replaced as stated on the invoice and service I paid for I would have been able to see the temperature rising on the gauge but that wasn't the case.
3.  The first call was made back to the shop after I had to pull over to the side of the road, and the mechanic came out to my location and stated he couldn't find anything wrong but his tester showed four new error codes. He instructed me to drive the truck back to shop. I asked him if he could follow me back to the shop and he said he couldn't at that time.   I asked him for his number in case anything else happened on my return back to the shop. On my attempt to drive the truck back to the shop as instructed by the mechanic, the truck started making a loud knocking sound. I again pulled over a second time and called the shop and talked with the attendant (Patrick).  He asked If I could make it back to the shop.  I told him I could try.
4.  On the 3rd call to the shop, I asked for them to send a truck to tow me to prevent further damage to my truck. Over an hour later, the owner himself arrives to tow me back. The owner asks me to start the engine and drive my truck up the tow ramp and then arrive back to the shop.
5.  At the shop, I was instructed by the owner to start my truck and drive it into his shop.  The truck was running when I left.
I never made any mention of a Lawyer or Revdex.com.  I did mention [redacted] to Devin.  Yes you did make an attempt to fix what I asked you to fix.  You attempted to fix what you diagnosed.  Patrick told me verbally that the The problem with the temp gauge was the sensor and on your invoice yor stated that the temp gauge no work coolant broken recommend replace.   If you would have told me to replace the cluster I would have asked you to replace the cluster.  You misdiagnosed the problem and still charged me for your mistake.  You didn't tell me that you would have to do process of elimination to figure out the temp gauge problem.  Devin told me that one of his employees lied to him ( He mentioned two names).  It seems like he and Patrick aren't always on the same page.  He told me that as far as he knew the gauge was supposed to be working.  Devin said I had a fuel leak.  He also said that If I drove the truck there's a good chance the engine would  catch  fire and there would possible be an explosion and yet his mechanic instructed me to drive back to the shop.  I drove the truck into Affordable towing and I had to tow it out.  It wouldn't start when I picked it up.  You mentioned the emergency brake light sensor.  You was supposed to diagnose that as well but didn't.
You said that I'm trying to get my work done for free.  Not true.  I'm not at all asking for a full refund.  You did change the oil cooler and do an oil change.  Bottom line the truck worked when I dropped it off and didn't work when I picked it up.
cerely,
[redacted]

Let me correct [redacted] on some of the issues that he is mentioning on Inv. # [redacted]for the repair on their [redacted]. First and foremost more then the transmission was fixed for that price. On that invoice we replaced the radiator, Idle Air Control Valve, PCV Valve,Antifreeze, Transmission...

Flush, Transmission Filter, Transmission Oil, Radio Code so bis radio would work, Starter,A/C Pressure Switch, Freon and recharge. We did not rebuild or replace the transmission so the bucking wouldn't be any fault of ours. The A/C worked for only one day because we informed [redacted] if the A/C goes out there is another problem with the A/C but our sniffer couldn't pick it up.We found out a couple weeks later that the Af C went out but we were workingon his [redacted]. He said he would bring the Honda back when the [redacted] is done. After we finished with the [redacted] he brought his Honda back and we found the oil seal on the back of the compressor blown out and we needed to replace the A/C compressor along with some other components. What [redacted] lacks to say is that we were giving him the A/C service & Freon Free to himbecause we just servicedhis vehicle and we did feel sony for him.He got an Invoice # [redacted] for the 2 hrs.it took to tear the entire door down to get to the motor & electrical wires to seewhere the problem is. He got charged a diagnostic charge for checking out the A/C again because the failure of the A/C had nothing to do with the work we performed on his vehicle.Yes we did work on the A/Cbot we only changed out the highpressure switch -we did not touch or replace his A/C compressor which has now failed.
