work. One appointment was missed due to a death in the Project Manager's family. He reset the appointment and went to meet with her when it was convenient for her, which was after business hours. Another appointment was then scheduled on July 13th to do the repairs in the basement as listed. Enroute to Mrs. [redacted] residence, the service truck broke down and needed to be towed. Mrs. [redacted] was called numerous times and messages were left on the only number listed on the contract. We didn't have Mr. [redacted] phone number to let him know what was going on and we appologize. Our Manageer spoke to Mrs. [redacted] on July 17th and rescheduled the service appointment at Mrs. [redacted] convenience for Saturday, July 25th.On Saturday, July 25, our Manager went to the property with crew and took care of the problems that were stated in the complaint. We removed remaining drywall, about one trash bag full of debris, leveled out floor, cleaned up all debris that was left behind and mopped floors and we agreed to pay for her contractor to paint and fix damaged door and doorway. We also cannot determine the cause of the banging noise of the air conditioning duct. We do not dispute there's a banging, we just cannot confirm that it was caused by the work performed. Lastly, as stated in the contract, we are not responsible for reconnecting any plumbing that was disconnected to perform work.

Review: On 11/10/2014 [redacted] " the supposed owner" of the company came out to give us an estimate of a big job that we were contemplating to be done to our already finished basement. (new drainage system and sump pumps) Agaisnt (our better judgement) my wife and I were kind of backed into a wall with [redacted] wanting to start this $8500 dollar job before holidays . He was rather persistent with getting us approved with the funding company he uses we gave him a 100 cash deposit and 8400 to be paid back in a year no interest. [redacted] stated that upon completition of the job he would make sure to fill out necessary paperwork for mold and mildew so that we could attempt to turn into homeowners and possibly get back $ 3000 -3,500 dollars back to help pay back towards the money we had to borrow for this unexpected job. I was told that the guys would be as clean and immaculate as well and it would be a 1-2 day job. It cost me over 300 dollars to have my cleaning people come to clean the filthy mess they left they did not cover my furniture properly either another wall that should not have been cut or touched was damaged with a hole in it and I was NOT even told about it either ( left to find that out on my own )and damage was also done to another wall where they ran their equipment through my basement windows [redacted] sent a plumber to help drain out baseboard upon completion this was not done properly I had to have [redacted] come out on 2 separate occasions as we had no heat and the baseboard was banging and making tremendous noises there was so much air left it took one man that worked for [redacted] almost 8 hrs to bleed and drain pipes and NO HEAT IN DECEMBER FREEZING COLD AND 2 SMALL CHILDREN. After several attempts to reach [redacted] on his cell and his so called"office line" he has yet to return a single call and or send us the necessary paperwork to turn into homeowners. This is unacceptable . All we want is the paperwork we gave him the job now give us the letter promised leDesired Settlement: I want a returned phone call and that letter expedited overnight. And I do also strongly feel that he should cover the cost of the "extra wall " damages and cleaning that had to be done. Or put in the humidex for free with all the aggravation he caused. Even his own workers fought with him. I had to come outside at one point as one of the workers was on the phone in my driveway having a screaming match with "[redacted]"

Review: We hired affordable waterproofing for remediation of some mold in our attic. We were told that they would come to start work on 8/18/2015 between 8:30 am and 9:00 am. They never came so we called to see where they were. It took hours for them to get back to us . When they did contact us they said there was a scheduling problem and forgot to call us. We then rescheduled for Thursday 8/20/15. We expressed our irritation but agreed to have them come then. We were told by the salesman [redacted] Pressman that the first thing they would do is seal/quarantine the area so mold spores wouldn't spread. The workers that came out Thursday morning, [redacted], failed to do this. [redacted] told me that they wouldn't remove any insulation from the attic but he instructed the workers to remove some insulation without first talking to me. They sprayed some chemical in the attic and told me no to go upstairs as the chemical is rough on the lungs. I then reminded [redacted] about setting up a quarantined environment. Later, the worker [redacted] fell through the ceiling in the hallway doing massive damage to the drywall. They went to get some materials to try to start fixing the hole in ceiling. The patch job that was done is clearly very unprofessional and uneven. When [redacted] was leaving on 8/20/15 he told me he would call me at 8 am on 8/21/15 the next day and tell me exactly when that morning he'd be arriving to finish the patch job. 9 am came on 8/21/15 and no one called we drove to business in Delran. We were greeted by a young woman at the desk. We asked to speak to someone. She said that she was the only person there and that the manager was not in. I gave her my information and asked her to please have someone contact me right away because our house has sold and we're making settlement literally in one week on 8/28/15 and need this fixed. [redacted] finally called me back and is supposed to come 8/22. They're unprofessional business practices have been a burden and damaging to our home as well.Desired Settlement: We were billed $3, 500 with $100 paid upfront to Salesman [redacted] Pressman. Due to the how extremely unprofessional these people have been, the damage done to our home and lack of regard for our time and property especially in lieu of our fast approaching closing sale of the property we want the remaining $3,400.00 dismissed.

Response:

We agree that damage was done to the ceiling in the hallway at the Coward property and was repaired by [redacted] from Affordable. [redacted] called in and stated that he was unhappy with the finish work of the repairs and was hiring a professional to fix it. We agreed to deduct the $200 (which he provided a receipt for) from his balance which is to be paid at settlement. The new invoice has been submitted to the title company for payment of the balance.

Review: My issue is a duel issue. I recently purchased a french drain system to replace my older drain system that came with the house and also had apparently 20 wall pins installed to keep the walls from bowing. My issue isn't really with the quality of work it is with cleanliness, breaking of a window and failure to replace on the last day of installation and not fulfilling 1 part of the contract that I paid for on the bill. On my 14000 dollar bill I stated that I needed before and after pictures and it was checked on my bill that they would take the pictures and they didn't. the installers actually wouldn't let me down the basement during installation activities that is why I wanted the pictures. Furthermore the foreman of the installation crew, I believe his name was [redacted], ( [redacted] hair) broke a small window out of one of my basement windows by accident. He stated he would becoming out within a month of July to fix it. I didn't request much and just wanted the window replaced with a synthetic or fiber glass insert, no biggie before the winter set in. Now that winter is coming and the temp is dropping the duck tape and broken glass that they left in the window is falling off the window. I currently have a brand new replacement window in my basement or they could just replace it with fiberglass. My wife had two issue too. She found a [redacted] cup filled with Urine and left on top of our water heater that spilled on her right arm when she went to move it. ( we don't [redacted] in cups) The second is the backup battery water drain pipe wasn't sealed with joint expander or ([redacted] filler) etc and water bugs gained entry due to the pipe being put out of the wall without being caulked or filled with any filler. I filled the hole with expander after noticing it in August. I made 4 calls over a period of 3 months and they haven't come out to fix the broken window. Lastly, they could have mixed the concrete on the pad instead of killing my grass.Desired Settlement: Being that I have contacted them 4 times and each person that contacted me stated that they would come out during the week and never did. I really don't want the man who installed my system, which is [redacted] coming back out to my house. He told me he would have been out and never came so to me it is the principle or point of a broken agreement. I already have a replacement window in the basement that can be installed. They can send out a worker to install the window that I already have in the basement or they can hire someone. The only other thing that I would like to have is some grass seed for the dead spots of grass that is about 16 ft square that was killed by the concrete over pour and mixing. I DONT KNOW HOW TO RECTIFY THE BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES I DID NOT RECIEVE FROM THE INSTALLERS BECAUSE THE SYSTEM IS COMPLETED. I WANTED THIS SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE I NEVER SEEN THE PINS PUT IN THE WALLS AND THAT WAS MY MAJOR CONCERN WITH THE PICS. IF I PAY FOR A SERVICE I WOULD EXPECT IT

Review: On march 30, 2015 affordable waterproofing removed my washer and dryer from the basement to waterproof the basement. The job was completed on April 3, 2014. I was told workers would return to put the appliances back in the basement once the cement on the floor was set (48 hrs). Since march 30 I have been without my washer and dryer which remain in my garage. I've called to find out when the workers were going to come back to put the appliances back in the basement . They will not return my calls.Desired Settlement: I want the workers to put my washer and dryer, and utility sink back in the basement, and hook them back up. I have been unable to do laundry for three weeks. They have not called back.

Review: I contracted Affordable Waterproofing to remove all paneling in the basement, install a waterproofing system, remediate any mold, and remove all debris. They removed the paneling and sheet rock but left sections of sheet rock still hanging. The salesman said they would dig a trench to lay the system and fill it in with concrete and that the newly laid concrete would be level with the existing floor. The concrete was laid and numerous sections are not level with the rest of the floor. Drops of concrete were left on the middle of the floor. The result is an unlevel floor that will need to be fixed if I am to lay a new floor to finish the basement. The foreman removed the door to the basement and he forced it through the kitchen doorway when it would not fit, resulting in scuffing and damage to the top of the door frame. When I asked him about it, he stated that he was more concerned with damaging the tile on the floor in the kitchen that the doorway because tile is more expensive to replace. I also noticed that there were two more scuff marks on the wall and the door was also damaged. After they left, every time the central AC kicks on and off, there is a loud bang, which never happened in the 8 years living there prior to this installation. I told the foreman and he said he hit one of the AC ducts the day before. He could not tell me which duct he hit or what he hit it with. The bang still continues today. He also told me that they would have to cut the plumbing that fed my utility sink and that he would install shut-off valves on the pipes. When I inspected the pipes that evening, they did not install shut-off valves and they cut the pipes in such a manner they had to be completely replaced by a plumber. I called in a plumber and was charged $800 to fix this damage. They left debris in my driveway and in the basement and left the floor a mess. They did not cover my personal belongings, as agreed, and they are now filthynDesired Settlement: I have made numerous calls to the business and scheduled several appointments for them to fix these issues and all have gone unanswered or scheduled appointments have been missed. I would like my money back.
