I am sorry to hear
that Brew City reportedly had an issue with their dump cylinderThe cylinder
was brought in for repair on February 25, Our company quoted the cylinder
at $ because the cylinder rod was very pitted and it needed a new rod
machinedThe customer thought that price
was a little more than he wanted to
pay so our companies agreed upon $ to do the job correctlyDan,
himself, agreed to the plus freight in of seals neededThe cylinder was
completed on March 4, The customer sent his employee, Brock Herwig to
come and pick it up on April 1, AFI deposited the check on April 22,
On April 27, the check was returned to us from Landmark Credit union
for the reason of "closed account"After talking to the bank, we
found that the account was closed as of December 30, He wrote our company
a WORTHLESS checkI tried to get a hold of him for about a weekHe was on a
cruiseHe contacted me from Florida when he docked on May 13, He told me
he was very sorry for the inconvenience and that when he got back in Milwaukee,
he would issue me a new check right awayI waited about days, still no
checkI called HIM numerous times with "no answed' or a retumed callI
even contacted him on facebook on June 6th via private messenger,
which someone did see with no responseThe same day, I sent him a demand for
payment, through certified mailHe received it June 10thI waited
with no response and then filed all the worthless check forms with the City of
*** *** *** on June 30th Dan was contacted by *** ***
of the *** *** *** ###-###-####He told Office Basting that he would
come to AFI and get our company paid, however, when *** *** contacted
me on August 8th, he found out that Dan did NOT do that yet and he
gave him one final chance to make restitution before the end of the day on
August 10th to avoid having a fine brought against himBrew City
brought in a cashiers check on August 10th and asked that we call Officer
Basting to let him know they paid usThat day, apparently they decided also to
file an unjust claim with the Revdex.comOn that day, there was nothing said of the
cylinder repair issueThe only time anyone from our company talked to him
after the repair was done (April st) was on May 13th and
when they came in with the cashier's check on August 10th Nether
time was anything mentioned about the cylinder not working or having an issue
with the cylinderHis dump cylinder did have a day warranty, which was
printed on the back of his invoiceIf there was any issues with the cylinder,
he should have brought it back right away and we would have looked at it, no
questions askedThis shouldn't have been hard to do since he is claiming the
issue started the day his company picked it upHe never called to inform us of
his so called issueThe cylinder was tested here prior to leaving and it
tested goodIf he took it somewhere else, he should have to supply an invoice
from that company with their findingsI do not feel that we owe this company
any money backThere was never a reason for us to think that the cylinder
wasn't in good working condition.Thank you for your help in this
