Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Having been a foreman, service manager, heavy equipment field service technician, engine and component rebuilder on construction equipment for the last plus years, I reject the concept that I do not know that a rear main can wear and leak oilI do not understand how the engine ran as well as it hasIt still leaks a quart of oil a day wether it is the pan gasket or rear main mainThere is no sign of oil consumption in the intake by blow byeBecause the car is in use every day it is being monitored on a daily basisWe also have been noticing antifreeze consumptionSeeing this I ordered a compression test to be done on the engine before I moved forward with the repair of the leaks on the oil pan and or the rear main sealI am not interested in throwing good money after badWe did find that the new spark plug in #was contaminated and had been burning antifreezeSeeing this we did not complete the compression testThe other noted item was that the coolant level was low IN THE RADIATOR ONLY not the over flowThe overflow was at the proper levelNot only will this engine not hold oil, it is burning antifreeze! This indicates that the engine has a bad head gasket or a cracked head! I still do not understand why the "dealer" did not take the opportunity to take back the car after all the oil leak issuesGood business and customer relationships build a better business If the "dealer" will not consider taking this car back with a full refund and repair expenses paid in full I will be forced to consider other options.Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: Having been a foreman, service manager, heavy equipment field service technician, engine and component rebuilder on construction equipment for the last 39 plus years, I reject the concept that I do not know that a rear main can wear and leak oil. I do not understand how the engine ran as well as it has. It still leaks a quart of oil a day wether it is the pan gasket or rear main main. There is no sign of oil consumption in the intake by blow bye. Because the car is in use every day it is being monitored on a daily basis. We also have been noticing antifreeze consumption. Seeing this I ordered a compression test to be done on the engine before I moved forward with the repair of the leaks on the oil pan and or the rear main seal. I am not interested in throwing good money after bad. We did find that the new spark plug in #2 was contaminated and had been burning antifreeze. Seeing this we did not complete the compression test. The other noted item was that the coolant level was low IN THE RADIATOR ONLY not the over flow. The overflow was at the proper level. Not only will this engine not hold oil, it is burning antifreeze! This indicates that the engine has a bad head gasket or a cracked head!
I still do not understand why the "dealer" did not take the opportunity to take back the car after all the oil leak issues. Good business and customer relationships build a better business.
If the "dealer" will not consider taking this car back with a full refund and repair expenses paid in full I will be forced to consider other options.Sincerely,[redacted]
