Africa and worldwide travel

Review: I called [redacted] the owner of this company to make flight arrangements for my daughter and myself to travel back home. At first the correspondence was great. I didn't have any issues, received regular emails with confirmations and everything. I was very excited to receive everything I needed. I also want you to keep in mind, I tried to make this same trip happen the year before only to be scammed. So you can appreciate the feeling I had to see my inteniery was confirmed and complete before my trip. I am set to fly out on May [redacted], 2013. I received a phone call from [redacted] at 11pm my time, telling me that my flight had changed. You can certainly understand my dismay when I got this phone call. I was very concerned considering what had already happened. I asked why was my flight changing and he said. "he made a mistake on my last name". I was very conccerned about this due to I had sent everything to him multiple times and even verified the spelling on my reservation was correct. So. May [redacted] @ 6am comes and we do fly out. It sounds like that would be the end of the story, but it is just beginning. This was nothing compared to what has happended to me. So my daughter and myself arrive and really enjoy our stay for a month. We are both set to come home on June [redacted], but I sent [redacted] an email notifying him that my daughter would extend her stay. I would still fly home but she enjoyed herself so much, she wanted to stay a while longer. I also called on top of sending [redacted] an email telling him 2 weeks before we were set to leave. As far as notification goes, I thought I had covered every possible way of telling him about my daughters extension. I didn't receive a confirmation from him, but he told me he would take care of it. I left it at that, kept enjoying my stay. So June [redacted] comes and I am set to make my journey back to the States. I get to the airport and I am asked from a airline respresentative where is the other passenger. I could not believe when they asked me that. Instantly I knew there was going to be a problem. [redacted] had not cancelled my daughter's flight at all. She was still set to fly out as well as myself. I had also paid the change fee to accomodate my daughter staying in Africa. So at this point, I am out a lot of money to say the least. I speak to the airline agent who said he was going to cancel my daughters flight, and that wasn't done as well, is what I found out. Now it is time for my college student daughter to come back to the states to attend school. [redacted] told me he had my arrangements for my daughter to fly out on August [redacted], 2013. So that date comes and she goes to the airport only to find out she doesn't have a flight. My daughter is set to start school on August [redacted] and will receive major reprecautions if she is not there. I am now being told since [redacted] will not answer or take any phone calls or emails, that I will have to pay for a new ticket to the cost of $2500, since it is such short notice. I have been trying to contact [redacted] for the past week and have not been able to get in touch with him. I find this very weird considering I spoke to him on a regualar basis when there needed to be money tranferred into his account. The address that I was given on my invoice and the company name doesn't match what he gave to me. I am thinking this guy has been up to this for a long time. He seems to know all the tricks of the trade. I have even tried to get friends with unknown numbers to [redacted] to call and he still doesn't answer. This guy is good at what he does. Please don't do business with this guy. This is the exact reason I am taking the time to write up this complaint, because I am hoping that he is unable to scam anyone else.
