I am responding in regards to *** *** complaint on his *** ** *** This is the first letter we have received to the incorrect address on the envelopeHe stated there was no communication between After Hours and the customerThat is incorrectThe owner *** *** kept
in contact with the customer regarding his vehicleHe ran into several other issues while trying to repair the vehicleHe called Mr*** to inform him of the issuesMr*** stated he needed his vehicle by 11/He was told due to other issues with the vehicle and the part that hadn't come in yet that it would not be readyHe said he was fine with that and would rent a vehicle to transport what he needed to pickI spoke with Mr*** daughter who told me she wanted to come and pick up the vehicle and would take it back home to have it repairedShe stated to leave the parts in the vehicle and she was coming to have it towed back homeWhen she didn't come *** called Mr*** to see if they were coming to pick the vehicle upHe stated he didn't know anything about his daughters conversation to us.When she informed me of this work was stopped on it*** called Mr*** to informed him it was ready to be picked up but not finishedHe told Mr*** that I had spoken with his daughter and she said she was coming to have the vehicle towed backMr*** wasn't aware of this and hadn't spoken top his daughter about this matterWe posted a note on our door of the time we would be off during the Christmas holidayUnfortunately I became severely ill during the holiday that required *** to stay home with meEven during that time we were in contact with the customerThere was a miss communication between Mr***, his daughter and After HoursAs far as the items left in the vehicle Mr*** should have removed anything he needed before he left the vehicleWhen you are working on a vehicle you sometimes run into other problems that you have to call the customer about to see what they would like to have doneMr*** has since received his vehicle and there were no problemsWe will not be doing any ,more work in the future for Mr*** due to a miss communication that was not any fault of After Hours but between Mr*** and his daughter. Review: My [redacted] was taken to After Hours Automotive during the 3rd week of October to repair the 4 wheel drive. After 2 weeks, I called the repair shop and was told they were backed up on repairs. I called again about a week later and was given another reason why the repair wasn't completed. On approx. Nov 18th, I called the shop to emphasize I needed the vehicle back no later than 11/26. I was told it should be ready before than. On 11/26, I arrived at the shop and waited for the owner to arrive. He stated he had been sick the day before and the part delivery service didn't leave the part. This resulted in me having to transport a full size mattress and box spring home on top of a [redacted] in the rain. I was told it would be ready on the following Monday (12/1). I called on 12/2 and left a voice msg and received no return call. This was one of many non-returned calls. I stated in the voice msg I had to have the car no later than 12/5. On 12/4, I left work and drove to the shop arriving at approx 0810 hrs and waited as long as possible and was required to return to work without the owner arriving. Two others customers were also waiting on his arrival. I left another voice msg stating I had to pick-up the vehicle by 12/5. The shop's voice msg stated they now had service hours on Friday's from 0800-1200 hrs. The shops work hours varied over this time period. Initially, it was 0800-1700 hrs Monday to Thursday. Beginning last week, their voice msg said the shop hours were from 0800-1500 Monday through Thursday and 0800-11200 hrs on Friday. I arrived at approx 0930 and the shop wasn't open. I then contacted the local sheriff's dept, town police, and courts to determine what action could be taken to get my vehicle. I have knee replacement surgery on 12/8 and will be unable to drive until mid to late January to pick the vehicle up from the shop. This means I won't have access to my 4 wheel drive vehicle to be driven during winter weather. This could make it very difficult to get to doctor appointments during bad weather. Additionally, this is the only large vehicle I own that will easily be able to get me home from surgery.

The other side issues are a bag of fall fertilizer in the back that should have been spread in late October or early November to feed the grass during the winter. Additionally, my portable [redacted] is in the vehicle and it has been needed many times, including a trip I had to take for work on 12/4 to a town just below [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like the repair completed immediately, the vehicle transported (not driven) to another shop to verify the repair was completed correctly. Additionally, the state inspection should be completed and the remainder of the vehicle inspected for additional damage to include the interior where a bag of fertilizer has been sitting. I will pay for the state inspection and itemized documented parts. Transportation of the vehicle and repair verification costs will remain with After Hours Automotive.
