I did look at the drive when I contacted *** the husband He stated that the seam was visable we spoke about it I did tell him that this was a binder base coat and it will need a fine top installed some time in the future (not included in bid) He stated he knew that as he had done black top
years ago I said in the mean time if would make him happy I would pay for the seal coating to better blend the seam He said that would be good it was to late that year to do so the following year I contacted affordable seal coating to to do the work They contacted the *** who told them that there are other issues and not to seal it.When the drive was done they recieved a direction pamplet settling is normal.with the weather we get freeze and thaw.also it states vehicles can cause this I also will point out they have a large motor home that I have seen parked on the drive many times.Doing the binder first and waiting on doing the fine top is a good Idea just for these reasons.We did dress the edges all that is is pulling the stone along the edges over the bottoms of the asphalt.The statement about recyled asphalt being used is in correct we used number one dence binder per contract all asphalt made by *** uses a percentage of recylced asphalt I told *** that this is not as nice to use as the asphalt used prior to the use of (rap) recycled asphalt product.The warranty is for one year on Defective matieral not settling or edge cracking.As stated originally I will have the job sealed if they want that.I apologize for the late response as my father inlaw was killed in an accident this has not been a good week Thank you ***

Once again I did not tell her to build up the edges the instructional book she received reads that the edges should have top soil installed to add support.This is the binder or base coat it will need the final fine course of asphalt installed over it.I disussed this with her husband he knows this.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
