My daughter bought a pair of shoes the day of her graduation ceremony. She tried on the left shoe. On graduation night she was running late and grabbed her shoes and finished putting her makeup on in the car. We were stuck in traffic on the expressway because of an accident so we barely made it to graduation in time. When she went to put her shoes on in the car on the way to graduation, she was unable to put on the right shoe. When I compared the two shoes, I found that even though they were both size 8 the right shoe's straps were a good 1 1/2 inches shorter than the left. Because of the accident, we did not have time to stop at a store to get her new shoes. She had to force the shoe on and wear them during her graduation ceremony and had to spend 3 hours in pain with these shoes on. When we returned them to the store we told the store manager the story and we requested a new pair. The store did not have any in her size. I requested a refund however, the store manager said because the shoes had been worn she could not refund the shoes. My daughter had no choice than to wear the shoes also if we had brought the shoes back without being worn they were still defective and could not be sold in their present condition. The store manager refused the refund and I asked for the district manager to call me. She issued a store credit in the mean time and I have never received a call from the district manager. I have not spent the store credit and have instructed my daughter to never shop there again.
