Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/11/06) */
Received business response via email on 11/6/15:
I did a job for Mr. [redacted] several months ago and there was an issue with the fireplace top. we installed one that caused the pilot light to go out so I told Mr. [redacted] that I would pay him...
for the cost.$200.00 I simply forgot about it. I will send him a check today for the $230.00 as he has requested. I only wish he had contacted me first.
[redacted].
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2015/11/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I did receive a check from the contractor. However his response was inaccurate. I had contacted him in person on August 28. When he did not respond as promised, I followed up with a letter on September 2. When he ignored the letter as well, I issued the complaint to Revdex.com. It was only after having received this complaint that he finally responded with the payment I requested.
