I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have attached a list of the things that are wrong it is not all inclusive. You would have to see the work they did to really appreciate it. Is there any way someone can come to our home?

We had cash for payment I am not sure why Mr*** thought we were not prepared to make payment. We were not prepared to make payment for the quality of work he provided.
We told Mr*** the last day we were not happy with the job. We showed him our bathroom and garage and wood that hand not been replaced. I did take photos and email him after that day. After I sent him the list (as attached) and the photos he called and was very threatening and intimating. We did not want the balance reduced we wanted the job done correctly but Mr*** began to get very defensive and didn't seem to want to fix anything. At this point we were very uncomfortable with allowing him back into our home. He said he was coming over now to get his check and he did at 10:30pm he was banging on our door. We didn't feel like we had a choice but to give him a check. We wish we had not felt so threatened.
In regards to "rough" finish in garage. Our garage was already dry walled and taped before Mr*** began working on it. It actually looks much worse now than when he started. We thought he was rolling the garage and he sprayed everything. He also started the job without giving us time to get things out of the garage. The work in the garage was scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of the following week and Mr*** took it upon himself to do the work on Friday before we had moved things out of our garage.
We paid Mr*** and additional $cash outside the contract to replace wood too since he said what he quoted wasn't enough. That should have been a red flag but I still wanted to believe Mr*** would provide the workmanship he had stated
Please just send someone to our home to see the mess Mr*** has created. It is so embarrassing and stressful to be in this situation. I just want him to pay to have the mess he created repaired. Please call me with any questions

After doing a walk around with customer we provided a detailed estimate for work to be performed along with verbal explanation of what all was included. came back with a list of complaints about work, I agreed to address the legitimate concerns and make them right, however customer just wanted me to reduce the balance. I reduced balance slightly and still agreed to make right the legitimate complaints, but there were complaints about finish in garage which was clearly stated in estimate that it would be a rough finish since it is not in a living space and customer agreed, but later wanted me to provide a custom finish which is not what it was priced for in the estimate. I was told that the garage was ready for paint, which means all vehicles and any other valuables would be removed because there would be paint dust since we were spraying. We covered the remaining items, however customer complained about paint dust on items that were left behind, when they had the option and was advised to clear them out.The customer simply wanted me to reduce the balance greatly and also perform additional work, I advised that it would be one or the other. I would discount the balance, or come back and address their legitimate complaints at agreed upon full rate but not both. To keep from further disputing with customer I simply reduced their balance significantly and agreed not to return, because I would not agree to their terms  to basically come and work for free.
