Review: I purchased a used head for my '95 Honda Civic on 6/30/15. It was seized up. I called Agee's and was told to bring it in and they would exchange it. They said they had two in stock and to call back with the receipt number. I called back with the receipt number and was told there was nothing wrong with the part and they would not exchange it. I was told if there was a problem with the part that I needed to take it to a mechanic. The salesman stated that he had dealt with people like me before. When I asked what he meant, he stated that I had purchased a part I didn't want and just wanted my money back. I explained to Mr. Agee that I did own a 95 Honda Civic that I needed a working head for, but he still refued to exchange my part.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back or a part that worked, but I will settle for them not claiming "parts gladly exchanged". I really don't want to have to deal with these rude people again.

We guarantee our heads to not be cracked or warped, but don't guarantee the internals such asthe cam and valves. The cylinder head he purchased came off of a running motor that had a brokenmotor mount in the wreck vin [redacted]. It is recommend to take them to a machine shopbefore installing. He wasn't willing to take it to a machine shop. We told him if it was cracked or warpedwas the only way we could exchange it. When I contacted them the first time, I was told I could exchange it. When my son called and gave them the receipt number, they said they wouldn't exchange it. That's when I called again, only to be told that there was nothing wrong with the part, and they would not exchange it. I was told I had to take it to a garage (of his choice) to have it looked at to see if it was faulty. Apparently, he is worried he will have to deal with a mechanic as dishonest as him. We have sent the head to MY mechanic, and it is seized. I did curse him, but only after being told that he had dealt with people like me before, and that I was trying to return a part that I didn't need. I was simply trying to exchange it FOR THE SAME PART. What sense did his comment make? If his business states that they gladly exchange parts, he should do so without insulting his customers and refusing to do so. I addressed other problems I've had recently trying to buy parts, being told that they had them, then driving 50 miles one way, then being told that they actually didn't have the part, or in another instance, handing us a broken part. Lucky, there is a more reputable business across the road that went out of there way to help us. My son learned a very valuable lesson dealing with this junk yard. I have explained to him that there is a reason why it's junk. We won't have any more dealings with this company, and I have been sure to tell all who listen about how they will be treated.
