Review: On June **,2009 I had and paid $1302 for a full service installation of a chimney liner, installation reinstall the chimney breach as per the detail receipt I signed. On October **, 2014 we were scheduled for a chimney cleaning and was told that the liner was not completely installed and it was done wrong so they could not clean the chimney until the liner was installed and they would do this again for approximately $1200-$1300. My husband was home at the time and called me after they left and told me what was said and needless to say I was upset that I had already paid to have this done in June 2009. We tried to call the office several times and could not reach anyone I also faxed over a letter to the office explaining what happened then they called on October **, 2014 when we explained again what happened and was told they would get back to us so my husband gave them his cell number to call us back but we never heard from them and we had to go out of town so my husband and I agreed to call them after winter was over to rescheduled. My husband called either May ** or ** to reschedule and explained again what happened the office scheduled us for May [redacted] and on May [redacted] they called and told my husband everything was fine and there was no need to come out.Desired Settlement: Ageless Chimney needs to resolve the chimney liner issue and clean the chimney like we were scheduled for on May **, 2015 and support the integrity of their business or give me a refund so that I can find a more suitable company that stands by their service and customers without all this ducking and dodging.

When I arrived at the customer’s home on October **, 2014, I discovered they were having some type of work done using very strong chemicals. The odor was extremely overwhelming, and I told the customer that I was feeling nauseous and light headed from it. He still wanted the chimney swept, but I felt I needed to leave immediately before I passed out. At that point I just said anything, so that I could leave the premises quickly. When the customer eventually called back, seven months later, to have us come back to fix the so called problem that I said he had with the liner, we explained to him that there was, in truth, nothing at all wrong with the chimney liner, and why I had said that to him; (Just to be able to leave the residence quickly.) Ageless Chimney always stands by our work. We are committed to keeping our customers satisfied. Therefore, we will make arrangements with this customer to go back and check out the entire chimney to his satisfaction, even though we believe this work was done well originally. We will also sweep the chimney at no cost to him. Ageless Chimney apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused this customer.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.Sincerely, [redacted] We recently converted from oil to gas so I'm not sure if that was his issue that he had to "suddenly vacate the premises" but we specifically requested when we made the appointment on May ** NOT to send back the same person and the lady agreed because as I have said many times previously in my initial complaint that we repeated what previously happened several times to whomever answered your business phone so the story never varied. What was suppose to be a simple chimney cleaning has turned into such a fiasco. We trusted your integrity and honesty when you initially called back in 2009 based on a referral from someone we knew to do the chimney cleaning but you found at that time that the liner and other things needed to be installed before you could proceed with the cleaning hence $1302 was paid for the service. We called you back for the chimney cleaning rather than another company because of the trust and honesty of the initial job done in 2009. We hope that when we are rescheduled preferable with another person who won't get sick or we will make sure the windows are opened and the basement is aired out prior to your visit. All we ask is that you do exactly what you stated in your response so that you can gain back our trust and hopefully we feel comfortable enough to refer your company.
