Ageless Concrete Reviews (%countItem)

I had a very poor experience with Ageless Concrete. After getting three estimates, I chose Ageless Concrete, the most expensive bid. I expected a quality outcome. What I received was a "splotchy" colored patio with a very rough surface (objectionable fibers everywhere).
The contractor clearly rushed the job. I raised my concerns to Aaron K, owner, and he promised his crew would come out and burn the fibers away after powerwashing the surface. The effort they made was immaterial and the outcome no different. I was not willing to pay full price for a job that wasn't done to contractual obligation. Ageless Concrete and Aaron K had a lawyer send a letter to me saying they were going to but a lien on my property if I didn't immediately pay the remaining balance of the bid. I have never not paid a bill. I was only trying to resolve the situation. Aaron tried to intimidate me and did not take my concerns seriously. I do not recommend this company.

I am very sorry to hear that one of our past clients is not satisfied with her patio. My team and I do everything in our power to ensure that we go above and beyond for our customers, and in my humble opinion, I feel I made every effort (aside from tearing out the concrete) to remedy what the client expressed was her concern, which was fiber mesh visible at the surface of her patio.
Fiber mesh is a plastic hair-like fiber product that is used to make the concrete stronger and reduce the chances of cracking. The fiber mesh is integrally mixed into the concrete by our redi-mix provider. We cannot pick and choose where the fiber is...it is everywhere in the concrete (top and bottom).
Roughly 3 weeks after the patio project was completed and in full use by the client's renters, I met the client on-site to discuss her concerns. I tried to explain to her that visible fiber mesh at the surface of the concrete is normal and that it wears off with normal use over time. She would not accept this as fact, and insisted that I do something about the fiber mesh. In hopes of pleasing her, I agreed to do everything possible at no charge to her.
Within 1 week of our conversation, I sent a crew over to the client's rental property to remedy her concerns. Using a motorized broom we buffed the surface, slightly raising the fibers. We then proceeded on hands and knees with a small torch, and melted as much visible fiber as possible from the surface of the concrete (without damaging the surface). Our next step was to pressure wash the surface of the concrete. We allowed the patio to dry overnight and we returned and resealed the patio with 1 coat of heavy duty decorative concrete sealer the following day. I committed 2 employees to this remedy, for a total 6 hours labor. I personally was on-site during this 2 day process, and had no doubt the client would be satisfied.
A couple weeks later the client informed me via email that our remedy was not good enough, and that she would not be paying me the other 1/2 of the payment for the project. I tried to reason with her and sent her more than 10 pictures of past projects that showed the same level of fiber mesh at the surface. Weeks past and she still refused to pay. It was at that time that I felt I needed to get my attorney involved in an attempt to collect the balance of payment for the project. In a final attempt to compromise I even waived all late fees. I truly believe a letter from my attorney was the only reason that I received final payment.
For all that have taken the time to read this. Please know that we are a top-notch company, we take great care of our customers, and we are obsessed with quality. It is a shame that it came to this. If you check out our website you will understand what I mean.
Respectfully Submitted,
