Unwarranted Billing
We canceled our service at our business 5 years ago. It was supposed to be switched to a person that was staying in the building with the new owners of the property. We have been billed annually since then! We call
and they are pretty nice and will see what they come up with. No one Ever calls back!
We just get the bill and it’s getting Bigger!
This is harassment! We are getting ready to fight this in court! We haven’t owned the property for some time! We explain the problem every time we get a bill.
Over and Over! BE wary of the Agfinity MONSTER! Keep VERY good records in ANY dealings Agfinity!

billing fraud
I had a smell in my house on a February evening. Feeling hesitant to call Agfinity because of previous billing issues and not wanting to unnecessarily send someone out in the night, I specifically asked the operator to let me JUST speak to someone, not to alert the need to come to my home. They want any gas smell to be reported and then they come. When the requested person called I repeated my JUST issue and explained about a smell that might be gas but probably a dead animal under the house.
Because of where the smell was coming from and having checked for any leaks with soap water on the fireplace insert we determined it was not gas.
Then a service man was sent to check my tank even though I had said “do not send any service”. Of course there was no leak but I got a bill for $520. The service person told me I am not responsible for service outside and would try to intervene on billing. I tried to talk with Agfinity service billing. No one called me back after several tries. After a few months I got a statement saying they took the $520 out of what I prepaid specifically for propane for the winter fill plan and LEAP credit just for propane.
I complained that neither of these funds were legitimacy available for service bills. So they reversed that. I finally get a call from a Jason (manager?) with whom I tried to discuss this. He was not really interested in the issue and suggested that if I would not pay, I could resolve the issue by discontinuing my service. I suggested some compromises and he offered to check if something could be done and call back at a specific time. That never happened.
So, I decided to get another service and because I had over $800 credit with LEAP I asked to have that money refunded to me. I was told they could only send it back to LEAP. I called LEAP and they agreed to call Agfinity because sending refunds to the customer is the way they should do it.
The next I know Agfininty had misrepresent the $520 to LEAP as a propane charge who therefore allowed that when Agfinity sends me a refund check it could be minus the $520.
Too soon to know if I even get any money back and am considering small claims court.
Do not get propane from Agfinity. I discovered they charge much more than any other services around me. They communicate poorly, habitually send unwarranted bills, filled my tank when I asked not to in the summer, even let my tank run out of gas in winter when I did have an automatic filling plan to not let that happen etc. etc. They even put me at risk once when a service person could not find the leak and left saying he knew it to be an animal smell. There was a leak, only, and until I got a plumber I was at risk, even though Agfinity excuses unwanted visits due to safety first!
If you do have Agfinity and keep them, beware of calling them if you think you have a leak. Do NOT honor their request you let them know. If you call, you pay. Get an inexpensive detector and call the fire department if needed timely, or a plumber. You can always turn off your tank if concerned.

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I also paid a $a year tank rental feeSince I only used the tank for months, where's my remaining month's refund??? That's another $they owe me Regards, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This response is absolutely false Firstly, I NEVER hung up on any of Agfinity's representatives Secondly, they NEVER offered to put two gallon tanks together (which I would have rejected anyway) And thirdly, they NEVER told me there was a $tank pick up fee and that it would be waived I would suggest anyone contemplating doing business with this company, think twice about itRegards, [redacted]
