Review: On April 11, 2013, [redacted] from Aggressive Paving paved our driveway with [redacted] (asphalt). Since then I have contacted him 3 times regarding multiple issues. After I insisted he come and look at the driveway for cracks, wheel marks, segregation, roller marks, etc. he reluctantly came in June but with no results. He blatantly said there is nothing he can do about it. He blames a tree. A tree that he was completely aware of and at the time of the estimate he said there would be no problem. We started seeing cracks within weeks after the job was finished. We also have multiple areas of poor consolidation, graveling, ruts (bird baths), roller marks and segregation (cracks where a few ant hills have formed) which questions the entire job he did. According to the proposal, the job was machine paved with a compacted depth of 2 ½”. Which we seriously doubt whether or not enough [redacted] was used and properly compacted to the correct density or poor sub base consolidation was done prior to the placement of the [redacted].

I did make one last attempt to call [redacted] in August to see if this could be resolved. At this point I asked for my money back. He became very irate and said take me to court, you won’t get a dime. [redacted] never tried to make any attempt to fix any of the problems. I paid $3800.00 in cash for this job.Desired Settlement: cash compensation would be appreciated so that we may have the job completed correctly

After passing by one more time.There is nothing wrong with this driveway except a cracking area near a huge tree.there is nothing I could have done differently is this area to prevent this from happening I discused this with home owner in detail.The men that work for me were right there during this conversationThe demands for all the money back is unfair there really is nothing that can be done at this point.As stated before I do not guarantee the work so close to large tree ive had same policy for over thirty years.

I am rejecting this response because:

Please refer to the response letter dated 11/22/2013. Our response then to the contractors recollection of facts still stands. Also, we were never made aware of when and if the contractor ever came by ONE MORE TIME. Nothing was said and nothing was done. As previously stated, the general public should look elsewhere if there needs warrant this type of work.
