Aging Assistance Reviews (1)

Review: [redacted] has been taking care of my wife 4x a week for 3 hours a day. Each month she charges me around $378 a month. In the month of July, she charged me on 07/02 $432 and on 07/16 she charged em $378*. She charged me twice in the month of July. I asked for a bill/receipt and she stated that I would receive it from her attorney. Why? I let her know Aug 1st that I would no longer need help with my wife because I had to place her somewhere else because I can not take care of her any more.

* She charged em 07/30 $486. For some reason every month the bill keeps going up from $378 - $486 but I still pay.Desired Settlement: I need for her to take back the extra charge of $918.

Initial Business Response

The complainant is an 86 yr old man who, we suspect, of showing some signs of dementia. We have all documents from our credit card company and the complainant's bank records as evidence that complainant was not overcharged. We are asking for a meeting with the family (not just the complainant himself) so that we can reconcile all proofs and evidence of the billing history. If complainant will refuse, we will be forced a to file a case in court for falsely issuing statements and actions against our company's good reputation.

This is the letter we sent to the complainant:

I have personally spoken with you when I visited you in your house last Aug. 07, 2013. The reason for my visit was to explain to you in detail that we did not overcharge you a single centavo contrary to what you were always claiming the previous 3 days when you called me between 7am-8am. Each call, after I explain to you the bill history, you will somewhat agree that the bill was correct but the following morning, you will call again asking to discuss what we have discussed the previous morning.

By Aug. 9, you called the office again and spoke with Mrs. --- - our Financial Director and again, you were claiming that you have been overcharged $864. You and Mrs. ----- agreed to a meeting in our office at 9am the following Monday Aug. 12. She asked you to bring your relative, your lawyer or anybody that can help you understand that you were not charged beyond what you need to pay. You did not show up. We called and left you a message, you did not answer or call back.

Every time we talk, I always ask you if I can speak with a member of your family so I can explain to them in details the history of your account. You refused to have them talk to me. I honestly do not expect that you will ever understand the billing history because I notice that you keep repeating yourself over and over the same topic. To the point that I asked you to please have your lawyer contact us instead.

Today, we have received a chargeback claim from your credit/debit card company in the amount of $432.00 Aside from this, on Sept. 27, 2013 we have also received a complaint from the Revdex.com filed by you accusing our company of continuously charging you stating: "For some reason every month the bill keeps going up from $378 - $478 but I still pay." You wanted us to give you back the amount of $918.

Now, what is it really you are trying to get back:

1. the $432 chargeback claim from Bank of America Debit Card

2. $918 you were claiming from the Revdex.com

3. or the $864 you claimed as overpayment when I met you in your house?

For 7 or more years, we never had any complaints with our services and with our billing system. We have built our reputation in the context of honesty, compassion and good relationship with all our clients past and present. In this regard, we will be glad to arrange a meeting with you AND a member of your family, specifically the daughter of Mrs. [redacted], [redacted] Should you refuse a meeting, we will be forced to file a case in court for defamation against you for your false statements and actions against our company.

Pls. call me the soonest to arrange for a meeting.
