AGM - Anatolia Granite and Marble Reviews (%countItem)

crew arrived April 10, 2018 to install new quartz kitchen countertops. They "yanked out" (according to plumber) the dishwasher ("not necessary" their salesman admits, damaging it plus tearing the water hose off, resulting in extensive flooding both on upstairs and lower level hardwood flooring. The ceiling had to be repaired and repainted after drying. Plumber, dishwasher repairman and painter all worked on damaged areas.
We are seeking reimbursement for the bills we had to pay 3 repairmen, totaling $687.07. *** has never contacted us with regrets and has refused to accept responsibility for the damages caused by their employees. Our two mailings and attempt to contact them have been ignored.
Product_Or_Service: New Quartz kitchen countertops

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) We want to be reimbursed for the total amount of expenses, $687.07 we occurred from the damages Anatolia's installers did. The incident was totally their fault and they need to accept responsibility and pay us back in full for the damages their guys did.

AGM - Anatolia Granite and Marble Response • Jul 23, 2018

A day or two after her countertops installed, Mrs. contacted me regarding damages that was caused by a leak in her dishwasher that apparently happened one or two days after countertops were installed . I went there and looked at the damages and asked her if she saw our crew pulling the dishwasher out and she said she doesn't know. Our contract clearly states that we are not responsible for any electrical or plumbing work and we don't mess with those because it's nor our area of speciality nor we are licensed for electrical or plumbing work. That's way I told her that " it's unnecessary for us to move or pull out the dishwasher " as it has nothing to do with installing countertops and it doesn't interfere with installing countertops. Though it seems she understood it as if I'm saying " They did it but it was unnecessary". After I left, I talked to the owner asking him if our installers are supposed the pull out or move dishwashers and he said we never move or pull out dishwashers as it has nothing to do with countertop installation. Later on, we received two letters from Mrs. and I sent them to the owner. He said that the homeowners have every right to take it to their homeowner insurance company and they can in return investigate the issue and request compensation from our insurance company. As a sign of good faith, he said we can also offer them a quartz cutting board and this is what I passed to Mr. when he came to the store.

Customer Response • Jul 24, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The dishwasher was indeed pulled out by Anatolia installers for whatever their need, apparently to reattach to upper bracket after quartz in place. I was not in kitchen watching every move! I ran dishwasher 36 hours when empty dishwasher then full & needing to be run. Damage discovered then, repairmen called. This response to complaint came from Anatolia's sales rep.,not the owner. Anatolia caused the plumbing problem and they should be responsible with their insurance. Our insurance company will not be contacted as it is not our problem and a claim not due by us or our insurance company. Two repairmen have stated that the countertop installers did the damage when they "yanked out" dishwasher. Why would we attempt to remove a fairly new Kitchen Aid dishwasher working fine? *** did the damage, accidently, but they are 100% responsible to us for the costs of repairs from tearing off the waterline. No, we do not accept their salesman's absurd reasoning! Our dishwasher did not fail on its own! The owner himself still has not responded & salesman's blaming us for damage 2 days later is absurd and insulting!

I am responding to Mrs *** complaint against AGM Granite and Marble. She stated that we damaged her floor when we pulled the dishwasher line. We are not allowed to as the contract states to do any plumbing such as pulling water lines. That is against our company policy. As far our installer that are allowed to pull water and stated they did not. We thoroughly obey by all regulations and policy. We do not do any plumbing work.
