Customer [redacted] ***, came into the shop on or about January 20th 2016, he was asking for a Clutch replacement quoteThe quote was given and he agreed to the set price of $labor plus an additional $for flywheel re-surface for a gran total of $After the transmission was removed out of the vehicle we found that the clutch that he provided was the incorrect one, I offer the customer to sell him the correct clutch kit, but the customer stated that the price was to muchAt that point he stated that he would provide his own clutch, which I waited a week for him to come back with his own clutch and I didn't charge him any storage fee, which usually I charge $per day when the job is put on hold after days because of customers mistakesOnce we installed the clutch the customer provided, we felt a bad vibration coming from the entire car, which we ask the customer about it and he stated that the vibration was already thereAfter the job was completed, the customer send someone else who he claims was a friend of his, and he took the carA few days after taking the car, the customer calls the shop and told me it was hard shifting into the gears, and I told him to bring the car back to the shop, which I "PAID FOR THE TOW TRUCK"After putting the vehicle in the lift for the inspection, we couldn't find anything wrong with the job we did, but what we did find was that when we tried putting the car in gears, either with the car on or off, the vehicle wouldn't go into the gears, and I told the customer that the problem was not the work we did, instead it was his transmissionAt that point his wife started to harass me about the Warranty, which I explain to her that my work was indeed warranted , but the parts they provided were not, which is also stated in the contract they signI made a point even before they brought their own parts, to tell them that those parts are not my responsibilityI wouldn't have any issue even fixing the entire vehicle as long as the parts and the labor was provided by me or anyone else in my businessI am enclosing an attachment were they sign, which explain everything I just wrotePlease feel free to contact me again if you have or need any additional information.Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I just get this message because I'm in the service and I been in training and I don't have the time to read my messages, but I'm going to let you know whats going on , my car is at the Audi dealership and they already told me that the problem with my car was human error as soon as they get the transmission down they are going to take pictures and send it to me, another thing I read the response from the shop and first , my wife it was the person that pick up my car not a friend like he said because she have to pay him in order to her taking the car, second she don't have his phone number for her to be harassing him and third is impossible that he would know if the job they did it was ok just looking at the car underneath like he says , he have to remove the transmission because the work they did was inside but he did not remove it because he was trying to charge me again and I told him noIf you have any question call me at any time, thanks Regards, [redacted] ***

First the person pick the car was the son in law, second they do have my shop phone number and third he can contact a authorized mechanic or certified and ask them if a clutch have problems the transmission with car off will go on gears or not the customer provided the parts I never denied to inspect the vehicle and I even offer to pull transmission out but of course it will be a charge because the car come out of my business running I don't have any problem goes farther with this if this the casehe doenst even give the opportunitie to approach the issue he day I will take it to a specialist in audis warranty automatically will be avoid when somebody else work on the car even his was mention to me that supposely their friends back in Puerto Rico was making conclusions about what can be I can transmission apart but if I found the problem was related to what I did he will owe me I will like to have a professional be a intermediate in this case
