Per our conversation please find our response to Complaint *** hereinPlease note we take this very seriously and pride ourselves on not only the quality product we provide but the highest levels of customer service as well.
Mr*** complaint
stems from a Shopping Cart Abandonment email that was automatically generated by our system after he placed a product in his cart and then did not complete the purchase This series of automated emails sends three times after an item is left abandoned in the cartThe timing for this email is based on when the cart is abandoned and then sent automatically at Hour 3, Day and Day after abandonmentMr*** inquiry came to us in reply to the third message in this series
Attached you will find the email correspondence between our Customer Care Department and Mr***, where we convey the communication was part of an automated series as well as explain we have no ability to offer the product as it is no longer in inventory We also offer free shipping as well as the offer to shop the current sale items and state we would be happy to place the customer’s order over the phone, as so he would be able complete the order prior to the offer/inventory expiring
The sale price in question relates to a sale we had during the month of May in which we offered discounted prices of up to 50% of regular pricing on select roastsThe product referenced in the compliant, Traditional Cut Tenderloin Roast, was being offered at a discounted price for $during this time, however with all of our products, was limited to inventory on hand Please note, Mr*** has been registered to receive promotional emails from us since May During the month of May we sent multiple advertisements to our registered list, all of which directed to our sales page and stated the offer was limited to quantities on hand and expired at the end of the month of MayThe sale was also featured prominently on our homepage as well as being located in our “Sales” category of our website www.snakeriverfarms.com
Mr*** states in his complaint, “The email the company sent me had a correct price but when I tried to check out the price had doubled.” This is not correctThe price shown on the email was a sale price and the price shown in the cart is the correct/regular price of the product
Many of our promotions carry exceptions and restrictions such are posted publically on our promotions page located at
http://www.snakeriverfarms.com/promotionsWhile the current promotion portion changes the Promotion Codes, Special Offers and Questions headlines and copy stays the same for all promotions offered and we clearly states that all sale items are limited to inventory on hand, and we reserve the right to modify the sale items at any time (see Image below)This sale was considered a special offer as it was located in our Sale category and treated as such
Since realizing the Shopping Cart Abandonment emails were not pulling real-time pricing we have modified the emails to only pull the product left in the cart, with no pricing attached, as so when you click through the most current price will be shownWe’ve also made the offer to Mr*** for free shipping as well as the ability to shop the current sale items that are available in inventory As the product Mr*** would like to procure is still out of stock the closest replacement we have would be a whole tenderloin roast at a discounted price of 50% off regular pricing (this pricing is also only available for a limited time and on inventory on hand)

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Snake River Farms sent me an email telling me to check out with the offer that I wanted to buy When I tried to check out the "shopping cart" would change from what was originally in my cart The email they sent showed the correct item and the correct cost, but when I would try to check out it would change the item When I called their customer care department, they said it was a system issue that they cannot control what emails are sent, they are automatically sent It feels like bait and switch to me It is not my responsibility to control what emails are sent from their company it is theirs All I want to do is buy what was in my cart and what their email reminded me to buy.]Regards,*** ***
