I spoke to David Holdren, owner of Agricultural & Home Water Services, on June 18th, 2016 about the grit that comes into our house from our well. He suggested putting a screen in the well. On June 22, 2016 he came to our house and I showed him the grit from our washing machine and told him it is also in our toilet tank. David put his hand in our toilet tank and told me that some the grit was too small for the well screen. He suggested a whole house filter system near our water tank. After we showed him our rusting water tank and he tested the pressure, David suggested a new tank. We have had pressure issues for 15 years...when we turned the sink faucet on all the way we got as much water as a city person does when they turn their faucet on 1/3 of the way. So, instead of a screen in our well, we had a new tank and whole house water filter put in. Let me say that my water pressure has improved so much that I have to be careful to NOT turn the faucet on all the way. I am able to wash dishes and take a shower like people do in the city. Further, the whole house filter is not like the ones you buy at Lowes. All you have to do is turn a [redacted] and let the water wash the grit out of the filter into a bucket. I am absolutely amazed!!! On a side note, when he took out or old water tank, the inlet pipe/ valves just fell off, because the tank was rusted through, which means if we hadn't listened to David about getting a new water tank, we would have had worse problems. I HIGHLY recommend this company for anyone who has to depend on well water!!!!!!!
