Aguiar Pavers LLC Reviews (11)

Dear Revdex.com, Aguiar Pavers, LLC would like to respond to the complaint and accusations made by our customer, [redacted] .? It is as follows: Aguiar Pavers contracted with Mr [redacted] on May 8, to install a paver patio, risers and retaining wall.? The project was a complex project with many circular cuts to the patio.? When initially estimating and measuring the patio we calculated square feet, which is what Mr [redacted] agreed to when executing his contract.? This calculation included full paver stones that would be cut to accommodate the circular patio dimension.? When calculating the cost we included full paver stones, not ½ paver stones after cutting.? The customer is responsible to pay for the entire stone, not half the stone.? Mr [redacted] measured the completed patio himself after the installation was complete, and apparently, concluded per his measurements a completed square footage area of square feet.? Mr [redacted] did not take into consideration that the amount of square footage contracted included full paver stones to be ordered to accommodate the design that was accomplished per his specifications and scope of work.? It is also standard practice in the industry to estimate and contract the material on a plus or minus 5% basis due to breakage or damage, etc.? This was also accounted for when the contract was executed We sent a crew out to Mr [redacted] ’s project site on November 12, and did a minor repair and hauled away the chunks of concrete Mr [redacted] refers to in his complaint per his request.? We have not received any other requests from him since this date As for promising to re-measure the patio, Aguiar Pavers never indicated to come back and re-measure.? We have tried to explain the above square footage material measurement estimation and contract to Mr [redacted] many times and he continues to complain Aguiar Pavers has completed Mr [redacted] ’s installation per the contract as agreed upon and has no further obligation to refund any monies pertaining to this project.? We have accomplished all contractual agreements in good faith and have done all we can to please this customer.? Unfortunately, some customers are never satisfied Thank you very much for bringing this issue to our attention Respectfully submitted, Aguiar Pavers, LLC ?

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: We agreed on a square foot area for installed patio: ? 940sqft? We never received detailed measurements of installed patioRequests to obtain those before installation were denied? The contract is attached in a previous thread? As Aguiar Pavers states, we agreed to a square footage of patio installed? That size is what is being contented? 940sqft vs 760sqft? They are complaining about wasting a copule hours on this? It could have all been avoided by simply measuring our patio when they are in the area? Their avoidance of this is so suspicious, and illogical? Just one lost customer due to bad review will cause them to lose more money than the square footage being debated now? Crazy business practice Sincerely, [redacted]

Dear Revdex.com, In response to Mr [redacted] 's request to have concrete removed? We are more than happy to coordinate a time with the homeowner to remove the concrete debris if it is actually on site? They may call? 425-678-to coordinate? Please note: ? the individual who will be assigned to picking up the debris speaks very poor English and does not provide measurements for Aguiar Pavers? As stated several times, we have already provided measurements to this customer and have never agreed to come back and remeasure To reiterate, we have already provided Mr [redacted] a formal estimate with measurements on the initial estimate appointment, which is accurate per the owner of Aguiar Pavers? The customer agreed to these measurements prior to signing the contract and agreed once again by executing with their signature on the contract for installation? And, once again, as we've suggested before, if the homeowner would like to have a bias opinion, it would be in their best interest to have a third party come to their home and remeasure their patio? Why beat a dead horse? We have spent several hours of unpaid time dealing with this homeowner and their complaintsAfter much effort, it is apparent we cannot provide anymore time for this issue? This is our final response to their complaints? We have done our part in complying with the contractual agreement Thank you very much for your time and again Aguiar Pavers hopes this homeowner is enjoying their new outdoor environment Very truly yours, Aguiar Pavers LLC ?

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
They are not bring truthful:1) They have NOT hauled away the chunks of concrete. 2) They DID promise to have someone measure the patio when the drainage repairs were done by their man crew on Nov When I asked that crewman about the measuring he told me the office told him that someone would be coming "later" to do it arg Also, during a subsequent phone call in early December with the owner, he told me he'd be sending someone to measure He agreed on the phone that a discrepancy of almost 200sqft sounded too highI waited weeks, and heard nothing This prompted me to contact the Revdex.comUnfortunately there is nothing in writing proving this.3) When I measured the curved patio, I added ~foot on each edge, and measured a square This should more than cover any cuttage loss from these small bricks I totally understand that there will be lossage All replies from Aguiar Pavers have been dismissive with no desire to discuss or rectify the issue in a mature way That alone has made us suspicious that we were being taken advantage of, with them hopiing we'd just leave it alone as too much troubleJust sending someone over to measure the patio WITH ME and explaining where the sqft of brick went could have prevented all thisYes, they did come out to repair a drainage issueBut even organizing that took a painful amount of effortThey also replaced border bricks with mismatched coloursPerhaps they're trying to recoup losses from that? I waited so long to issue a complaint to the Revdex.com because I really wanted to give Aguiar Pavers the opporunity to make this right so I could give a good review Such a shame

Dear Revdex.com,
Aguiar Pavers, LLC would like to respond to the complaint and accusations made by our customer, [redacted].  It is as follows:
Aguiar Pavers contracted with Mr. [redacted] on May 8, 2015 to install a paver patio, risers and retaining wall.  The project was a...

complex project with many circular cuts to the patio.  When initially estimating and measuring the patio we calculated 940 square feet, which is what Mr. [redacted] agreed to when executing his contract.  This calculation included full paver stones that would be cut to accommodate the circular patio dimension.  When calculating the cost we included full paver stones, not ½ paver stones after cutting.  The customer is responsible to pay for the entire stone, not half the stone.  Mr. [redacted] measured the completed patio himself after the installation was complete, and apparently, concluded per his measurements a completed square footage area of 760 square feet.  Mr. [redacted] did not take into consideration that the amount of square footage contracted included full paver stones to be ordered to accommodate the design that was accomplished per his specifications and scope of work.  It is also standard practice in the industry to estimate and contract the material on a plus or minus 5% basis due to breakage or damage, etc.  This was also accounted for when the contract was executed.
We sent a crew out to Mr. [redacted]’s project site on November 12, 2015 and did a minor repair and hauled away the chunks of concrete Mr. [redacted] refers to in his complaint per his request.  We have not received any other requests from him since this date.
As for promising to re-measure the patio, Aguiar Pavers never indicated to come back and re-measure.  We have tried to explain the above square footage material measurement estimation and contract to Mr. [redacted] many times and he continues to complain.
Aguiar Pavers has completed Mr. [redacted]’s installation per the contract as agreed upon and has no further obligation to refund any monies pertaining to this project.  We have accomplished all contractual agreements in good faith and have done all we can to please this customer.  Unfortunately, some customers are never satisfied.
Thank you very much for bringing this issue to our attention.
Respectfully submitted,

Revdex.com Response to ComplaintRef: complaint ID [redacted]On 6/17/15 Mr. [redacted] contact us requesting we come out togive him an estimate.  At this time healready had a LOT of questions especially as how a job would be done like thiswhile meeting his strict homeowners association’s rules.  As an...

example he was concerned about how muchnoise would be created during the work, and that his homeowner’s associationwould not even let them have wind chimes in his complex. On 6/18/15 – Our office called to confirm setting upappointment and he continued to ask more questions. On 6/24/15 – Our Salesman Marcos went to meet Mr. [redacted] athis residence.  This was a condominiumcommunity with a Home Owner’s Association. Marcos measured the job and from the details of drawings we have (see exhibit A) he felt he had a done avery detailed accurate job.  During thisvisit Mr. [redacted] presented a copy of “[redacted] ResidentialConstruction/Renovation Application” for US to fill out (See exhibit “B”).  This istypically something the homeowner is to fill out for pre-approval of such work withtheir own association.  His unit islocated on upper floor (not ground floor) this would require all of ourmaterials, equipment, laborers to bring things up via a freight/serviceelevator.  Mr. [redacted] told Marcos at thistime that there wasn’t a specific freight and in addition, Marcos noticedparking was terrible (from the perspective of having work trucks/dump trucksneeding to park there).  NOTE: This isdifferent than what Mr. [redacted] states in the complaint below. On 7/6/15 – Our office sent him a written estimate for theproposed work for his review  (Seeexhibit “C”)On 7/11/15 – Mr. [redacted] replied (see same exhibit “C”), hesends an e-mail stating that Marcos had miss measured the job “intentionally”.  He claims that the turf area on exhibit “A” wasonly 65 sq. ft. however Marcos measured 132 sq. ft.  Mr. [redacted] claims that the patio area is 9 x7 and that our salesman Marcos measured as 10 x 7 (note, we have to allow foroverages with materials due to cutting of stones and or turf seams necessary tooverlap).  Bottom line he felt that theestimate sent to him (see Exhibit “D”) was inaccurate by $1,500 over themeasured dimensions of his project. He then requests an “accurate” contractwith numbers that correctly reflect the project measurements. On 7/13/15 – Marcos called Mr.[redacted] and thanked him for hisinterest in our company (two people in our office heard this conversation), buttold him that due to his lack of satisfaction with the estimate and since hefelt we had deliberately miss-measured his job, we were going to pass on movingforward this work, and thanked him once again for his interest in ourcompany.  That same day Mr. [redacted] calledthe office and asked if our owner “Wesley” or “Shannon” the officeadministrator were aware that Marcos had decline doing his work or if Marcoswas “having a bad day, or was he angry at something”?  He was told by the office that we would onceagain confirm with the owner and one of us would call him back.  On 7/14/15 – Mr. [redacted] called once again and wanted theowner or someone to come out and re-measure. We explained we are in the peak of our busy season and it would be 3-4weeks before we could schedule the owner to come out.On 7/22/15 we left him a voice-mail and sent him an e-mail(see exhibit “E”) once again respectfully declining his job.  Note: We had ONLY given him an estimate atthis time, no contract, no formal engaging of work, no exchange of deposit, etc.)On 7/23/15  - Mr.[redacted] sends a response via e-mail (see exhibit “F”) with a very rude, condescendingand slanderous accusations about our employee Marcos.  Every conversation on the phone with himafter he indicated his dissatisfaction with the measuring and estimates, werecondescending and rude.  We reserve theright as does any business to refuse work or to provide services to any patron.
