In the afternoon on April 27, I noticed our hot water was becoming tepid When I went into the basement to check on our two gallon water heaters, I noticed one was leaking profusely from the bottom After I shut off the water line, I called plumbing outfits in the area
After a failed attempt from one outfit, AHS was able to address my issue the same day that I called (actually, within hours of my call) when the other two said it would take - hours before they could get someone to our house When Dan arrived, he professionally assessed the issue, provided me with a fair quote (and it was significantly better than the other quotes I received from the other outfits), completed the work in a timely manner (and it was late in the p.mwhen he started) and left the location in perfect working order

In March of 2016, I called AHS Plumbing, Libertyville, IL, regarding backed up toilets, sinks, and tubs in our homeMrDan *** took my callExplained our problem to himBy phone, he "diagnosed" our problem as one requiring digging up our lawn to install a new outside clean out to the clay pipe to the main sewer, however said he would come out and inspect and "see if I can open it up a little bit so we can get the water flowing." Upon arrival, Mr*** neither looked for an existing outside plumbing clean out (I mentioned where one may be at front outside of house), nor addressed options other than installing a new clean out at the front of our propertyWithin minutes of his arrival, without even looking at the backed up tub, sinks, and toilets (stayed inside our front door), and without even trying to look for an existing outside clean out, Mr*** began writing up an repair estimate of $3,to install a new outside cleanup and told us that would fix our problemWithin minutes of his departure, I, myself, found an existing outside clean out, which was not only in good condition, but did NOT show standing water, proving our problem was inside the home and had nothing to do with blockages between our home and the main sewer lineThis was information any qualified and honest plumber would have discovered quicklyMr*** and AHS Plumbing had only one goal when he came to our home; sell a new clean out installation job for nearly $4,An absolutely chilling example of premeditated intent to sell costly plumbing services which were totally unnecessaryLike an auto mechanic charging for an engine rebuild when a fuse replacement will sufficeStay away from AHS or prepare to pay for expensive services you do not require

AHS installed and services pumps in the basement. They did several other minor jobs for me. Good work. Reasonable prices. Good warranty service when and if it comes to it. I will recommend them.
