Promised my son treatment and once there they all but threw him back on the streets My son had attended the West Coast Treatment Center and he really loved how the staff made him feel loved and cared for, he had a relapse and wanted to go back to continue with their IOP but we were told they no longer took our insurance but there was a facility in Florida that doesThey booked the flight for my son and off he went, with me having the impression he was going to get the help he so neededAfter days there he calls me to tell me that he is not able to stay there and that they were going to kick him out his first night and told him that nobody there cares about him, it's all about the moneyThey wanted to send him to another facility in Florida that we did not want to go to and who could not tell my son if they would get him back home or how they ran their programThis was not what we had signed up for as far as help and I just wanted to get my son back homeI was told they would f

Harassing me with repeated phone calls
They continue to call me from different numbers claiming I requested the callXXXXXXXXXX, XXXXXXXXXX and XXXXXXXXXXAll the same placeI never requested any type of communication from this place yet they now have my number and keep calling claiming I requested information

Deceptive practices - promises made regarding cost that are not kept 100% covered suddenly turns into 20% covered
Received a $19K bill for "Lab Tests" conducted while my husband was in rehab The bill indicated only the lump sum due, no itemization of what service was provided for $19K
When my husband selected this treatment center (affiliated with Aid in Recovery, as is the company now billing us for "lab tests")we were assured a number of times we would be responsible for no more than our deductible of $500, even though I specifically brought up that the facility was out of our network according to our insurance provider
We were told you were "in the business of helping people, not making money"
The Admissions documentation provided us clearly supports this, stating and highlighted in yellow: Your insurance will cover your stay in treatment at Executive Recovery Center
The Change of Address documentation I received also indicated that the facility is considered "out of n

As Aid In Recovery's website claims: the goal for the detox center is to make the client feel comfortable during time in rehab because this increases your ability to focus This claim and many others were offered by the placement representative, (aka, headhunter?) are nothing short of advertising of their facility and services
I anticipated that detox would take place under a strictly controlled environment that would restrict communication and access to personal belongings What I didn't anticipate was the oppressive environment that totally contradicted the assurances of a comfortable placement within my peer group Let me describe the reality: Transportation via a "prison van" full of smoking men listening to loud rap music laced with misogynist cursing; Inadequate, unhealthy meal choices are offered; Outdoor activity (walking or poolside) where smoking is unrestricted contrary to Florida law; violation of HIPAA laws and personal privacy I could go on with more examples but space is limitedI was not alone in the suspicion that clients are unethically "baited and switched" and kept in detox longer than necessary in order for this organization to collect more fee or insurance money, so I exercised my right to stop "treatment" and leave the facility In order to collect my personal belongings had to call the policeI wasn't expecting a country club, but what I've been through has truly been ridiculous
I understand there are excellent facilities for rehab, but this isn't one of them Do your research and resist the hard sell of headhunters

This company helped our son to find a rehab for opiates. He has been to rehab locally in Pennsylvania and he never stayed clean. We are proud to announce today is his one year recovery date. They got me from being a drunken mess without hope in Florida,to a great detox (Serenity),in Los Angeles,California, which led to a facility in Hemet,California (West Coast Treatment ). Then my real recovery started at 449 Recovery in Mission Viejo, California. A.A. and a sponsor helped me find a Power within myself, to rely on at all times.

She was so sweet and amazing. I am so thankful I found her for this help and advice!
