We contracted with MrAiello 7/to add a mother-in-law suite, dining room, laundry room, half bath, screened porch, and a basement addition to our home MrAiello did not adequately waterproof our house and we have been experiencing water in the basement with every heavy rain to date He also left the project unfinished with many items that still need addressing He never obtained the final inspections/CO and it was up to us to get them through the city We have spent thousands of additional dollars to try to complete this project We still have outstanding items that need addressing; but we have not been able to do it because of financial constraints MrAiello has been in the business a long time and should know how to adequately waterproof a basement, obtain the proper final inspections, and complete outstanding issues in a timely manner
Builder built custom home. After occupancy he abandoned property, refused to comply with warranties, multiple code violations found, damages extensiveBuilder built custom home. I took occupancy in october, 2014 with the promised that builder would return to complete items, including unfinished bathrooms. Builder refused to fix original items, refused to do a walk through, as required by contract. Home was thereafter inspected and numerous Code violations were found. There are also several safety issues, including use of the fireplace could have caught the home on fire, and the granite kitechen island was not secured, which could have resulted in colapse on a child. There are too many workmanship issues to count and there are multiple issues with regards to choices of materials used. Builder has been unresponsive to me for 7 months and unresponsive to the City concerning his Code violations. The cost of repairs based on estimates has well exceeded $50,000 and climbs daily. Desired SettlementReimbursement for all repairs and upfront payment of materials needed in order to complete repairs. Return of profit allowance in contract.
