AIG Travel/Medical Insurance

Review: My experience with AIG/Chartis was wonderful as long as I made payments on insurance and remained healthy. Once I was injured and actually needed to rely on them everything changed. I constantly recieved run around about attaining a copy of policy.I would have to go 2-4 months w/out compensation pay on the regular .Payments should have been wkly.My payments were as much as 7months behind at one time.This isa lot to go through with your kids and family. I would constantly complain and get the routine run around. I finally complained to the right person. They eventually gave my past due payments to me .Soon after they apologized for treatment I was receiving from adjuster then assigned a new one to my claim.The new adjuster did a lot better She informed me once I had received maximum payment(3-9-2009)allowed under Temporary Total Disability (TTD) and if this injury led to Continuous Total Disability(CTD) AIG would pay CTD provided:1.benefits payable for TTD covered loss ceased solely because maximum benefit period shown in the TTD has been reached but the insured person remains disabled..(2)The insured person is under age 65 onthe day of maximum benefit period shown in the schedule for TTD has been reached. .. (3)The insured person has been granted a Social Security Disability Award for their disability

Once I contacted AIG to inform them that I had been awarded Social Security Disability on or around 6-20-2011 for the same injury and that Ive met all other requirements. They at time informed me that AIG had been bought by Chartis , I had a new adjuster and I was not due Continuous Total Disability. More of the run around. I felt hopeless again at that time.It recently came to my mind to complain to a third party and leave it in Gods hands.I pray that this problem is fixxed, in Jesus's name.Amen...Desired Settlement: I would like to receive all payments due to me under the Continuous Total Disability portion of my policy. The Continuous Total Disability Benefit is set up just in case my Social Security Disability does not at least equal my Temporary Total Disability benefit(which was a percentage of my earnings when was able to work) It pays the difference. The difference in my claim is around $1,327/month . I assume the Continuous Total should start the day temporary total disability reached maximum time allowed 3-9-2009. 59 months so far.
