This company is awesomeI called this company and they showed up on timeThe quality of service was awesome and the tech was very nice and knowledgeableOverall I am happy with this company

Worst
Company
Ever
From the slimy, lying sales guy, to the shady technicians who try and sell their service warranty, to the support staff in the office who are incompetent and cant follow directions or relay messages, down to the supervisors who don't ever call you back and finally take so long to get on the phone, that I lost my cool, and hung up I never have gone out of my way to write a review like this, I just usually decide not to use that company anymore, but this was too much I hope no one ever uses them and has to go through this Here is my experience with Air America
We were going to use a credit card to pay the whole thing off at once (and get points), but the sales guy promised us that the finance rate would be 0% if we paid it off in months, which we have used before at BestBuy and furniture stores We got our first payment bill and paid 20% of it (thinking payments would be safe) and then the next bill had financing charges When we tried to reach the sales guy, he never got back to us
Then, we had them come out a week after it was installed because it was noisy and they said we had the wrong size filter (that the installer put in himself) Also, the number he wrote in black sharpie to remind us the filter size was wrong The mechanic said that we should buy the service warranty, we said no
Then within the next months it wasn't getting cool The guy came out and said the limited warranty was null and void because the filter had not been changed in months This was not true I had put it in about weeks prior and it was one of those day filters After he mentioned the warranty was expired and took pictures of a dirty filter, he tried to sell my wife on the extended warranty just like the last time
Finally, last month (Jan '16) here in Florida, we got super cold and I wanted to use my heat but it didn't work I had friends at work (who used to work for an AC company) say that a lot of the time, the AC companies don't test the heat when they install a new unit and sometimes don't hook the wires up at allI called Air America again and gave them explicit instructions to A) call me when they get to my house (my wife was home with our son) B) to make sure they call me when they have diagnosed the problem and C) not to do any work without approval from me or my wife
Well, the woman assured me that the service charge would apply, but if we decided to do the work and that once we were given the cost of the repairs, that the service charge would be waived She said under no circumstances will her guy do any work without telling us the costs first So I get home to find out the guy came to my house (didn't call me) then handed my wife a bill for almost with a description of "Found low voltage wired and repaired" He was there for less than minutes My wife said she was never told a price, just handed a bill and she was freezing and she gave him our AMEX
When I called the next day, the lady apologized and told me that there was a note for the mechanic to call me when he got there and before he did any work and that he should have at least told my wife the cost before he did anything I asked to speak to a supervisor and none were available so the lady confirmed my phone number (as she already had it from my request to be called)
Two weeks went bye and I called back and I told the guy to look up the appointment and he did and said there was no note to call me He also said that there WAS a note that I asked to speak to a supervisor, but no phone number Even though the lady confirmed there was a note, and confirmed my number (I didn't give it to her, she read it to me) So I am guessing they erased the note and my number? Regardless, I asked what number they had, and they confirmed that they had my wife's number and I asked why they didn't call that # and he didn't know
So after being lied to multiples times, after being given a product/service that was not acceptable, and then after being on hold forever, I hung up and wrote this

I called Air America when my air conditioning unit needed a tune upThe technician came in on time and did the tune upI was very happy with the tune up

I called up Air America Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration, LLC this morning, and explained to their customer service rep exactly what the problem with the thermostat was, and she quoted me the price to repair the switch problem on the thermostat they instated was going to be, Their technician came and flicked one switch, and wrote up an invoice or more with a bigger description on the invoiceI called their company and was told their president didn't talk to anyone he didn't knowThat in fact I was legally liable for the full amount the technician claimed
Years ago when I worked in the media, this billing practice and company would have been called a scam, and investigated, not tofay

The company and the service was great. Also they gave me a good deal so I was happy. Overall I was satisfied with the work.

I have had Air America install 5 units in the past eight years in my rental units and one installed in our home. They have always maintained the above and are always courteous to our tentants. I no longer live in the area so our communication is over the the phone. Since I'm not there when maintenance is required they have always been honest and straight forward which is very important in having their trust. They work not only with me but with my renters and every way. I highly recommend Air America - their sales dept. and installers are wonderful.

Air America installed my brand new AC unit about 4 months ago. I stated the sales person that I wanted to keep a vent I had and when the unit arrived they closed the vent. The sales person told me that I never told him I wanted to keep that vent, but I had a witness when I made the request to the sales person backed up and told me he would personally replace the vent. That was 4 months ago and numerous calls ago. Still no vent. Three months after installation, my AC stopped blowing cool air. They sent a technician who informed me that there was a leak in the refrigerant line, that it would cost $1,795.00 to fix. I called another company and they would only charge me $450.00. Even though we are still under warranty, Air America charged me $300.00 to fill my unit with refrigerant gas. The manager, sales person and the technician are the rudest, most unprofessional and unfortunate people I had encounter in 20 years of leaving in Florida. My neighbors next door has a similar issue with this company and they fixed the problem just because he threaten them with a lawsuit. Terrible company, terrible customer service. It is a shame that people like that are in business deceiving customers. By the way, my AC unit was never inspected after installation, Air America told me that inspections are done by lottery and my address was not picked up. I don't know if that is accurate.

I called Air America when my air conditioner stopped working. We knew that we didn't want to repair the unit it was over 10 years old. My wife and I felt it would be in our best interest if we replaced the system with a more energy efficient one. Therefore we purchase a Trane unit and I must say that we already see the benefit a cooler home and lower electric bills. The price was fair and the work was exceptional. I would recommend Air America to anyone looking to purchase a new unit. I was able to purchase an Extended Labor warranty for additional cost which I took so I won't have to worry about repairs for the next nine years . That also sold me because I don't want to worry about repairs in the future .

I needed a new air conditioning unit for my house, so I looked online and found Air America air conditioning. I called the company and got a good deal. I was happy with the work that they did and definitely will recommend this company to my friends and family.

Just had my a/c unit tuned up and now it's working fine. The deal that they had is a good deal. I will definitely use this company again in the future. Also I will spread the word about this company.

I was referred to Air America by a friend when my a/c was leaking. Their technician, Nelson, arrived right at the beginning of the time frame I had been given. He advised that the problem was merely a clogged drain line which he cleared. He also did a complete check up of the system. Overall, he was thorough and professional and now I highly recommend Air America to my friends who are having problems with the air conditioning systems.

I called air America right when I felt my house getting hot. Living in Florida you always need your air conditioning on. Once I placed that call they told me they would have a technician out between 8- 12pm. The tech arrived at 10am sharp. I told him the problem and he went right to fix it ! His name was Jack. He was so nice and professional. He told me the problem and actually showed me what the problem was. This company just treats customers like family and that's what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need !! Best experience
