The tubing that Airbenders LLC is referring to was not behind drywall. It was hanging from the water heater, it's plastic tubing that only leaks when the Air Conditioner is turned on. I am not "claiming' that my water bill has shot up, I am stating facts. A Town of Leesburg worker came out on their own free will in the Summer Time to check my meter in my front yard because of the high water usage, to make sure that my meter was reading correctly. When I received the quote, and when the work was completed I was never informed that the tubing would need replaced, therefore it was assumed that the job was done correctly, and there would be no issues when the heat or air conditioner was running. When the air conditioner runs in the summer, not only does my water bill sky rocket (upwards of $300 - when it is usually half that) it also floods my laundry room floor. This business is claiming that they did all the work, and my problem lies in the drywall, however where the heat and AC is it is all concrete walls, and the tube in question just hangs, and leaks all over the floor in the Summer. I am rejecting this response because:
We were NEVER showed how to fix the issue. Nor was I told that the drain line would leak. I was also never advised during installation that I would need new pipes, otherwise I would have gotten them replaced at that time.

Dear [redacted],
We refer to the complaint filed by [redacted] dated 11/19/2014, ID# [redacted].
Contrary to [redacted]'s belief, to know there is a broken drainpipe inside of drywall is virtually impossible until there is water running through it, No one would be capable of making that kind of assumption. To reiterate from our previous response, during one of the coldest days of winter we installed [redacted]'s heat pump system. When the AC was turned on subsequently in the summer, water started to leak, Therefore, the problem is from the air conditioning system generating condensation moisture and completely unrelated to the incoming city water.
The customer now suddenly claims that her high water usage is as a result of us installing the heat pump system. It is without doubt this is not the cause. It is an unfortunate event that [redacted] feels we have misinformed her; conversely we feel that we have made every effort to make [redacted] understand that the drain Issue is not associated to our work performed. Clearly she is not willing to understand, Consequently, we humbly ask that this case be closed.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The Airbenders technician split out the work into two slots morning and evening which makes it two trips so that he could put lot of hours towards work hence the [redacted].com review being 3 out of 5. The problem he fixed was clogged water heater and I specifically asked about the warranty of his work and he himself and the customer service representative mentioned 90 days. When the problem repeated I called airbenders and they keep on insisting that THEY DONOT WARRANTY THEIR WORK and wanted to make extra buck for the next trip. I keep on insisting it covers in warranty and they shyed away and asking for more money to come out and check.Hence their quality of work won't last more than 30 days so that they can make more money for their visits and unable to keep warranty promises.  So I have to call other company to fix the same problem which he had done beforeSo I paid again for airbenders poor quality of work which costed me twice.

We refer to
the complaint filed by [redacted] dated 12/15/2014, ID# [redacted].
We are disappointed that [redacted] alleges we have not fulfilled our
end of the bargain sufficiently by stating we split the work in two visits in
order to waste time. This is completely false. Our business ethos involves us
working honestly and completing work in an efficient timely manner. In [redacted]’s particular case, it was in fact compulsory to complete the work in two visits,
as [redacted] had to leave his house for an appointment so the technician was not
able to finish his work. The technician was there for a while, and thus felt it
necessary to come back when [redacted] was back home. Had the technician
completed the work all in the morning slot it would have still resulted in the
same number of hours spent on the job. It is therefore necessary [redacted] accept
that the costs would have still been the same regardless of whether the work
was carried out in 1 slot or 2. The hours would not have differed, and to
remind [redacted] this was not under the discretion of the technician, it was so
[redacted] would be present in his house whilst the work was done.
It is very unfortunate that [redacted] does not
believe Airbenders endeavoured to fix the problem effectively. Conversely, we
submit the technician went to considerable effort to ensure all necessary steps
were taken in order to fix [redacted]’s water heater.
It is evident that the main cause of [redacted]’s complaint is the
subject of warranty. He is still persistent we should have covered his warranty
despite what was explained to him before the work was carried out in his home. We
would like to again reiterate that it was explained to [redacted] that we do not
at all warranty the cleaning of and/or installing his own parts- these
are any parts not supplied by Airbenders. Therefore, we humbly request that
this case be closed. Best Regards, Sadaf

Review: I had recently serviced my water heater with this company and I paid for full asking price with 90 days warranty. After few days the same problem repeated and when I contacted the company they shy away from warranty and not honoring their work and warranty and on top of it they are asking for additional charges to make a visit and check the problem. They lack professionalism and quality of work is poor not sure if they have the skill to do the job. As a result of his prior service it resulted in more damage.

The pricing is too high for any job and doesn't cover any warranty hence I will not repeat his service.

After discussion the company saying that they don't honor the work and telling me do what ever I can.Desired Settlement: Refund

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: The Airbenders technician split out the work into two slots morning and evening which makes it two trips so that he could put lot of hours towards work hence the [redacted].com review being 3 out of 5. The problem he fixed was clogged water heater and I specifically asked about the warranty of his work and he himself and the customer service representative mentioned 90 days.

Review: [redacted] went out of business and was bought (including their customers list) by Air Benders LLC. I received a call from the owner of Air Benders LLC, Sadaf J[redacted] on 08/06/13 saying that I had one maintenance service left that was already paid for on my contract with [redacted] and they would honor that service if I renewed a yearly contract with them. I told them I would like to make an appointment for the remaining maintenance service or would like a refund for it, but I wasn't interested in renewing a contract with them, as the same people are running the business just under a different company name. I had an issue with [redacted] and submitted a separate complaint with the Revdex.com earlier this year and unfortunately the Revdex.com had no luck contacting them either. My system was installed by [redacted] in 2010 and has a 10 year parts and labor warranty. When my heat stopped working in January 2013, I tried contacting [redacted] for service but to no avail. I had to contact a different company to get my heater repaired which cost $95. If Air Benders LLC bought out [redacted] and it's customers list, are they liable for honoring the service maintenance contracts that are still in effect?Desired Settlement: The price value of the remaining maintenance service contract that hasn't been used (through no fault of mine)and the $95 it cost for me to repair the system that was under warranty.

From: AirBenders LLC<[email protected]>Date: Wed, Dec 17, 2014 at 12:59 PMSubject: Re: cid [redacted] / [redacted]To: [redacted] <[redacted]@myRevdex.com.org>Hi [redacted],

My experience:
A few weeks back when the big snow storm disorientated every single one of us in the area, the worst thing imaginable occurred in my family household; the heat stopped working and my two sons and wife spent the first few hours wrapped in blankets and shivering. I surfed the web for air conditioning companies, but no others would come that day up until Airbenders. I was assured someone would come within four hours, but was relieved when the company's van appeared within twenty minutes after the call. The technician, Tony, worked efficiently and kept a positive attitude which seemed difficult given the situation. I was extremely satisfied with the overall experience at Airbenders and can now rely on a company.

Highly Recommend AirBenders !
AirBenders showed up on time, friendly and they diagnosed the problem very fast! They were the third company I called but they were the only company that diagnosed the problem precisely. It's been a month and my heating system works fine; others told me I have to replace the whole unit!

Review: I had my whole system replaced in February. Heating and Air --... Everything worked fine... UNTIL I turned my AC on for the first time the other day and my basement flooded. Every 10 minutes that the AC was on about a gallon of water shot into my house and all over the basement floor. I called Airbenders and was advised to turn the system off. I did so, reluctantly. When the technician came back out I was told that in order to fix the tubing I would have to pay an additional $180 to get it to stop flooding. As a single mother I dont have that money and explained that nicely the first time I was told that I NEVER paid for new piping/tubing to begin with. That was okay.. until they changed their story and stated that I must have been the one that broke the line and caused the flooding myself. I don't touch the system, only the thermostat. I was told that because I was given "such a deal" on the system to begin with that it would cost me to pay for their negligence. At the end of the day they did a temporary fix, and I was told that because I was so "threatening" to them that I could go buy th $10 part at Home Depot and fix it myself.

Would not reccommend this company to anyone.Desired Settlement: I was given two different stories about the tubing in question -- one that I never paid for it, and two that I had to of been the one that broke it.

I would like it fixed properly and not temporarily because this will end up costing me more money that I dont have in the end.

October 8th, 2014Dear [redacted],When installing a new Air Conditioning system, we use the existing drain line already in the customer's home, Altering drain lines is not a part of a system installation. Whether or not we installcd a new system, [redacted]’s drain line would have leaked regardless, as soon as she started up her Air Conditioning System for the first time. We understand this may seem like bad timing, and we’re not exactly sure what caused the leak, but we’ve assured [redacted] it was not on our end. Like [redacted] stated, she never paid for new piping/tubing during the initial installation, which is why we said you must pay the additional $180 to install the new drain line. Hypothetically, if we had installed new tubing during the installation, then it would be our fault for improperly installing the tubing and we would have fixed our mistake free of charge, but evidently, this was not the case. Normally, we’d go the extra mile to satisfy our customers, but in this case the technician that was sent felt uncomfortable in [redacted]’s home. He stated that [redacted]'s brother was intimidating and rude while clamorously demanding the drain line be fixed free of charge. After we refused to work for free, we suggested they buy a $10 part from [redacted] and we showed them how to fix it as well.Best Regards,Mansoor A
