Air Bourne A/C & Heating, Inc.

December 19, 2012 we had an ac system, gas furnace, return air supply, and accessories installed. We were told the user manual and receipt would be mailed and the other emailed the next day. On December 30, we contacted the installer, [redacted], and asked for the manual as well as the receipt that would include the thermostat. Again, we were assured it would happen. Mid January, I called the office to ask if these items were in the process of being taken care of. The secretary was unaware and assured me that she would do it - [redacted]. There was still no word, my husband sent an additional email and he received no response. I then called two more times and was assured that Friday he would receive an email. January 28, [redacted] said he would hand deliver the manual that day. He then called back and said he would need to reschedule -we would then set a day and time on January 29, 2013 in the am. There was no call from him.Customer Service complaints: 1. Installer's responsibility to educate homeowner that house filters boxes should be oriented to face a corner. 2. Screws are not driven flush on return box, filters cannot be installed because of this (incorrect installation). 3.Manual for condenser not presented during install, still waiting. 4. Have not received labor warranty - has exceeded the 6 weeks we were told. 5. Installer did not educate consumer on air conditioner noise. 6. The day of install additional expenses arose. 7. The day of install different equipment arrived at the house for install. 8. The day of install unable to see the chemical used to flush line. 9. [redacted] said existing supply duct needed to be replaced because outer sheathing had parted revealing small 1/2" wide slits in a few spots of insulation being visible. [redacted] said that this needed to be replaced along with the four lines off the diffuser box. Otherwise the attic air could be sucked into unit. This does not make sense-the outer lining is not an indicator of the the inner lining integrity.
