I am rejecting this response because: First we must clarify that Frank A [redacted] ’s response in this letter is very deceitful and hurtful because we have been very cooperative and respectful throughout this entire ordeal In fact, we have made it clear to Frank and his wife , Jamie, that we did not want any problems for them because we want to support local businesses and the only thing we ask them to do is what was right However, they did not handle this matter in the way that is professional and honest Frank and his wife have not been cooperative We have asked Frank to repair the AC to get it working again or have another company fix what he cannot do At which point, Frank cut off communication with us directly and he designated his wife as the sole communicator of information We were not getting any where because every time we called to follow up, Jamie would tell us that she had no information and that , “Frank needed some time to think it over” and for us to call back to check in a day or two A day or two turned into weeks and then months of getting no where but only to be told nothing new and to call back repeatedly This is the reason why we have stopped communicating with Air Boys since they were giving us the run around We have been very respectful of Frank this whole entire process and gave him ample opportunity to do what is right but came to the realization he was evasive and misleading regarding what he would do We feel that we are obligated to tell the truth and expose Air Boys Heating and Cooling for what they really are Their response to this claim clearly showed how they can easily twist things around and make us feel like we are the ones to blame for all the problems as a result of their improper installations of the AC unit in our house This is the first time we are dealing with a business who is being very dishonest and deceitful Furthermore, this is our first Revdex.com (Revdex.com) complaint because we do not know who else to turn to We worked really hard to save up money to get a new AC system unit installed and now it feels like we do not have anything We want to get the word out to warn other consumers about Air Boys Heating and Cooling’s bad business practice in the hopes that we can help others make an informed decision based on personal experience with Air Boys Heating and Cooling Below are the responses from Frank A [redacted] in black front Please note that our responses are the ones in the blue larger front inside the brackets () We feel that it is appropriate that we respond candidly because Frank’s account of the situation is troubling, as it is both inconsistent and inaccurate Hello I am writing to you in response to a complaint made by [redacted] against Air Boys Heating and Cooling In regards to any damages that were done and any issues that they had , I will say that we responded immediately upon notification of the issue Even though the complaint took place well past the warranted one year time that was listed on their quote, months past Even though we were never allowed to check the system or the drains before the primary start up or perform a preseason check the second season and the unit ran without issue for one and a half seasons I actually responded on a Saturday night (It was around pm when Frank first responded and this was not at night time as he said) directly after they informed us of the issue I went there and I inspected the unit and turned it off telling them that there needed to be some repairs madeThey were having a party ( This was a cookout with my family: brothers, sisters, their husbands and wives, and their children )at the time and insisted that it was too hot to leave it off Party guests begin to follow me around as I was trying to look at things (I followed Frank around to show him where the leaks were coming from and my wife accompanied us around offering Frank bottles of water) No supply house is open at that time of the evening on a Saturday night My ability to even get materials at that point is extremely limited or nonexistent But the [redacted] family were insistent and aggressive in behavior(After Frank’s inspection of the unit, he said he would return on a different day to look into itWe said we had small children staying and we did not want to subject them humid heat even further) They insisted that they have some sort of air-conditioning system going for the party I returned a second time ( on Saturday night) and I did what I could do in order to get it temporarily operational ( Frank told us the AC was fixed and the only thing he needed was to slope the pipe that burst and that he would call us and let us know when he could come back We waited six days and we did not get a call from him like he said he would, so we called him insteadWhen we finally got a hold of Frank, he said he could come out on August 23, to finalize the repair However; on August 1st, we discovered that there was more water leaking down to our basement as a direct result of the AC unit and parts not operating correctly This is when we requested Frank to come back early and inspect what was causing this problem) When I did return (a third time on a different day) to try to take care of the situation I found Mrs [redacted] to again be aggressive to me and as I turned around at one point I found that she was filming me without my permission(Frank did show up to inspect the leak and my wife was the only one who was home while I was working at the time When he showed up, she walked him down to the basement and showed him where the water was leaking down to After she finished showing him the basement she asked him if he would go upstairs to see where the problem was coming from He refused and quickly rushed towards the exit door Meanwhile, he was verbalizing to her that he would contact his insurance company and make a claim She was confused as he was proceeding to leave without inspecting the attic and this was when she felt it was necessary to record what was taking place There is proof in the video that Frank was trying to leave without making clear what his action plans were and we would otherwise have no evidence of it In the video, he did not ask her to stop filming and she continued You can hear her telling him that she wanted to have it as a record to show me but Frank abruptly walked off without clearing anything up) I asked her to stop but she continued At that point I told her that I would contact my insurance company and at that time I declined to make any further repairs as the equipment was out of warranty and it was apparent they were not going to be satisfied As I drove away from the ***'s home Mrs [redacted] was still holding up her phone(probably still filming) and yelling, " Frank, you can't run away from this" Now, you need to know what wasn't mentioned in their complaintThey refused to allow us in during any business hours for the primary inspection that we told them needed to be done after the installMrs [redacted] refused to let us in any day except Sunday (If Frank recall, I work days a week and off only on Sundays and eveningsWe asked Frank’s secretary to kindly accommodate our scheduling so that my wife and I can both be present while they go over the system when we were both home Frank's secretary was supposed to make a follow up call regarding the extra accommodations but we did not hear back from them) When I went back on that Saturday night and reminded her of that in front of Mr***, he appeared surprised and stated " you should have called me"We did not have his phone number listed as a contact, only Mrs ***'s number Since the install was done in the winter we needed to come back in the spring and inspect everything before the system would be operational (during the week of the install the temperatures were -15° and we were unable to check the drains ) when the weather was appropriate we needed to check the operation of the AC unit and run water through the drain to make sure it was draining properlyAlso, checking the drain operations is part of our start up procedure and is included with the installation and necessary before starting the units After multiple calls from our company they continued to refuse to let us in any day but Sunday They ran the equipment for 1/seasons, five months past the expiration of the labor warranty and one and a half seasons past when they should've had their start up inspection, months past when they should have had their preseason checked done by a licensed HVAC company per manufacturers warranty requirements Well past our labor warranty, without letting us check it Also, we responded extremely quickly once we were notified of the situation even though the year labor warranty had passed months prior to the event and we had never been allowed to come in to check the unit as we had requested to the [redacted] family, multiple times, by multiple people from Air Boys Heating and Cooling It should also be mentioned that during the time of the installation Mrs [redacted] attempted to have us install additional supply runs without charging for the additional work (This absolutely is fabricated In fact, Frank’s initial estimate was to extend the supply runs into the Den room but he informed us AFTER the work was completed that the Den was structurally inaccessible and that he would not be putting any supply runs in there That was when Frank suggested that he would put one extra supply run in the kitchen to make up for not being able to put any in the Den room as he originally proposed ) We refused to do that work for free(What Frank actually refused was to do the work that he could not perform after he realized it could not be done which he said he could do in the initial estimate) We do have a copy of the [redacted] proposal that was faxed to us from the [redacted] familyYou will note that the first thing listed as to the specifications and estimates for this job are the installation of( 2) inch supply runs including boots and take offs, flex duct and registers So do they want us to pay for what they were not willing to pay for on the original job? (The original job was completed and paid for in full as what the estimate Air Boys proposed? We did not deviate from the estimate as what Air Boys is trying to pawn off that we refused to pay the entire job amountThere is proof in the original estimate This makes no sense as Air Boys are supposedly the experts and would tell us what needs to be done and how many supply runs are needed Why would we NOT agree to the estimate since we would want things done properly The [redacted] proposal is actually saying there were not enough supply runs put in, which ultimately resulted in the unsafe operation of the AC unit.) As far as their claim that the CFM rating did not match the ductwork that we installed, [redacted] is using a sort of cookie-cutter formulation as opposed to customizing it We in turn actually figured out what size ductwork would be required as opposed to just going to a cookie-cutter number for the CFM/ ductwork issue and we can present that formulation at any time The system ran for more than one season without complaint and without issue yet halfway through the second summer we hear about a situation We did contact our insurance company we have been informed that the [redacted] family is refusing to settle and refusing to sign the paperwork Our insurance company has offered them approximately $for damagesI don't feel that we are responsible for anything, but we wanted to try to help them to be satisfied Especially considering the fact we were never permitted to come back and inspect the system, check out the drain make sure everything was running as it should've been We are not aware of any second season pre check done by a licensed HVAC company ( not by us anyway) as required by the manufacturer in their owners manual Why is that? We were the ones who were not treated fairly We've also been informed by our insurance company that the [redacted] family told them that they are in contact with a lawyer and considering a suit against us at this time (I cannot defend what the insurance company is telling Frank but we are not currently in contact with any lawyer As a matter of fact, Frank’s insurance company is telling us that they do not want to deal with him because Frank does not have any manners and that he is just plain “rude”.) We tried to work in good faith We responded quickly We made multiple calls trying to get in and inspect the unit to make sure everything was running appropriatelyWe went there to respond to the situation on short notice on a Saturday night ( two times and a third trip on another day) without charge, even after the warranty had expired, even though they were aggressive and making it very difficult to try and do anything Next, if you were trying to help someone and turned around and found that they were filming you without your permission I think it would be not only startling but invasive The fact that they are including the additional supply runs in their estimate from [redacted] also make us feel as if they are trying to again make us pay for something they were unwilling to pay for at the time of installation(Again, we were never informed that we needed more supply runs and as a matter of fact, we paid in full as what was required of us in the estimate There was never talk with Air Boys about needing more supply runs from what Frank is claiming in this letterThis is absurd and appalling and we are insulted that Frank would make up this claim Shame on you, Frank A [redacted] ) As far as cutting off communications with them after their complaints, my wife had numerous conversations with Mrs*** She also had several conversations with Mr [redacted] in which he was very aggressive and at times demeaning to her (Please do not masuch lies because we are not that kind of people Please let us know what you define as “aggressive and demeaning” since we have been professional and cooperative in trying to resolve this matter with you directly before consulting other resources such as the Revdex.com) We also consulted a lawyer at that time to address any communications between the [redacted] family and AirBoys heating and coolingHowever we never heard from the [redacted] family again until your letter

Air Boys Heating and cooling have done furnace work for us as well as air conditioning and its been perfect resultsFriendly and professional
