Hello [redacted],
I wanted to provide you with an update to our situation. On
Saturday, May 30th I received a call from out of the blue from a [redacted] from Air Concepts, who told me a long story about how they have had
problems with numerous clients in regards to this situation.  He told
me they would like to resolve the situation with me & would place a
$1200.00 check in the mail to me on Monday (6-1). Two
days later on Monday, June 1st I received a call from Kelly's assistant
who runs the office.  She told me they would not be sending me the
promised $1200.00 check that day.  In it's place, they would send me a
$1,000.00 check & I would have to deal with the [redacted]mpany to get
the $200.00 balance. The
next day, Tuesday, June 2nd, the assistant called me again to ask if I
had contacted the [redacted]mpany.  She also mentioned that she was aware of
my complaint filed with the Revdex.com.  I told her I would
be happy to settle the complaint once I had my $1200.00. On
Thursday, June 4th I received a $1000.00 check from Air Concepts.  That
same day I made contact with someone at the [redacted]mpany who said a
check request for $200.00 had been created for my rebate.  She could not
tell me when I would receive this check. Today (6/11) I received the $200.00 check in the mail from the [redacted]mpany. So
my original complaint has been settled.  I hope they are doing the same
for all these other folks.  I appreciate any assistance you may have
been able to provide me in settling this issue.  I have sent this same email to the NBC Channel 4 I-Team investigative reporter who was also looking into Air Concepts on this matter on my behalf. Regards, [redacted]

[redacted] We spoke with [redacted] on Monday June 1st.   We explained to him the [redacted]., made a mistake and would be sending his 200.00 check ASAP.  We also explained to him, the system installed in 2014 did not qualify for the Energy Upgrade rebates.  The program changed...

its guide lines of the program and his system did not qualify.  We asked him if he would work with us on the $ 1000.00 Rebate.  We asked If he would accept $ 500.00 check from us.  He would not work with us, So we cut him a check for $ 1000.00 on June second, check number 2199. [redacted], said as soon as the check clears, he would contact The Revdex.com and let you know complaint has been satisfied.  The check was posted to our bank account on June 4th.  We called [redacted] on Thursday June 11th, we left a message asking him to contact us and the Revdex.com with satisfaction of payment and complaint.  As of Today, June 15th, we have not heard from [redacted]. Please reopen case, and let our response be posted that we took care of problem, immediately.   Regards, [redacted]Air Concepts801 S. Responded to a tune-up special but was talked into a service call as the compressor was not working. Diagnosed the problem as a capacitor and told me it was a lot cheaper than a new unit at $1500, but did not give me a quote for the capacitor . So they put in a capacitor and charged me $347.22 for it and $87.50 for the service call, but did give me a $20 credit for the ad. Problem is the part cost only $27.15 at [redacted] or $14.21 online at [redacted]. What a rip off. Never do business with them again.

Mr and Mrs. [redacted],

WE do not and have never made promises/ guarantees of actual rebate amounts from the SoCal Gas, Edison or Anaheim. Any rebate amount given is only a guideline it is impossible to give exact amounts. Ultimately the final decision comes...

from the utility company and there policing partners. In most cases we meet or beat the expectation for rebates. For some unknown reason EUC, SoCal Gas and City of Anaheim would not allow the amount we referenced and said it was double dipping. The good news is that you qualify for a Tax credit of $200 for the furnace which equals approximately $650 of income at a 30% Federal tax rate. We believe your grievance is with the EUC group, SoCal Gas and City of Anaheim since they did not specify program details clearly to all parties involved. We can extend your maintenance for additional 8 years which is a $1016 Value. As far as any drywall damage please call [redacted] @ 310-729-[redacted] and or speak with [redacted] only in our office @ 714-779-[redacted] for your repairs at no cost to you for any damage caused by Air Concepts pending approval for amount. I am sorry for the delay and have left you a message on your phone this morning 07/08/2016 at 8:05AM. Please feel free to call me @ 714-240-[redacted] for any other questions.    Thank you so much for your time, [redacted] (Operations Manager)

Review: We were very pleased with their air conditioning/heating work on our home. The follow up since to resolve this matter has been less than desirable. We have been expecting two rebates, one from the [redacted] a much larger one from someone else at the State level since the last quarter of last year. I could totally understand if one had come in Nov or Dec as promised & the other was late or even missing. But the fact that both are missing does not sit well with us. Adding to our concern is that the only official documentation we have received from anyone is a denial letter from the [redacted] say9ingn they installed an ineligible heater. This after we spent over $15,000.00 to buy the most energy efficient upgrades one can get at this time from [redacted] the business owner.Desired Settlement: 1. We would like our full rebates (which should be at least $1200.00).

2. We would like to see documentation about our heater that confirmed that what the [redacted] sent was in error & that we do, in fact, have the heater we paid for.

Response:

Hello [redacted],I wanted to provide you with an update to our situation.

Review: We bought a new air conditioning unit. A faulty valve on the unit broke and caused severe water damage to one of our ceilings, which ultimately caused mold. [redacted], the same technician that was here at the time of installation, was here to repair the valve. He notated the stained ceiling and promised that Air Concepts "would make it right." We had submitted an estimate for repair via fax, and a [redacted] responded stating that they needed to have 3 bids for the repair. We then submitted 4 bids/estimates and the request for reimbursement to Air Concepts, via email. We have called several times and left messages for a return call back from [redacted], the owner, but it is falling on deaf ears. We also emailed the Office Manager, [redacted], on August 18, and still, no responses. We are asking for the median estimate repair, that we paid in full for, which is $1,150. Please help us in getting this matter resolved. Thank you.Desired Settlement: We want what was promised: "We will make it right." It costs us $1,150.00, to have the drywall replaced and new insulation installed, to remove all mold and then painted to finish/complete the project. We paid the contractor directly and expect full reimbursement of costs. An immediate payment of $1,150.00 is expected immediately.
