Air Conditioning & Heating Consultants Reviews (3)

I suppose it all comes down to expectations I feel ripped off because I requested, expected, and paid for a service that was not performed I hired Air Conditioning and Heating Consultants Inc(ACHC) to clean both furnaces, which they did not do as evidenced by their own admission Their service order and invoice clearly states “Clean and check both furnaces.” It does not state that furnace was cleaned and checked and the other was just checked Less than a month later, I had to pay a second company to perform the cleaning that I contracted and paid ACHC to perform I did not give permission for the ignitor to be installed, implied or explicit It is very thoughtful that MrR [redacted] gave permission to his technician “to change a minor part to save a second service call to the resident.” However, the tone of his subsequent call did not match this sincerity; MrR [redacted] was emphatic that both furnaces should be replaced If ACHC was unable to reach me, then they should not have performed the service; but they did not try; the first call that I received from them on the day of the service call was a sales pitch for two new furnaces I take issue with Joseph R***’s comments He states that the reason that I placed the call was because “Mr [redacted] knew that the furnaces were in poor condition when he called for a no heat service call on December 21, and was informed of such.” I was told that the furnaces were in need of cleanings, which is why I hired and paid for cleanings MrR [redacted] also made sure to state that the check was dated “9-12-17” as if I paid the invoice after the due date, however I (MrW [redacted] , not MrsW [redacted] ) wrote the check on 9-4- and mailed it that evening In fact, when I called ACHC on 9-12-17, MrR [redacted] stated that the check had been received; I can’t control when MrR [redacted] decides to deposit his checks I did indeed write “Thank you for your service” on the invoice in appreciation for service that I was yet unaware that ACHC did not fully render I am appreciative of service professionals, but I expect them to have performed the work that they said that they did This complaint is about failure to render correctly, the service that the business was hired to perform and ONLY the service that it was hired to perform MrR [redacted] has stated that “We stand behind our work and the technicians diagnosis.” I’m not sure what that means I would expect that most “better businesses” would stand behind their work by admitting to a mistake (not cleaning the furnace) and work with the customer to reach a satisfactory conclusion However, in my opinion, Air Conditioning and Heating Consultants Incis not a “better business.” Regards, Stanley W [redacted]

I suppose it all comes down to
expectations.  I feel ripped off because
I requested, expected, and paid for a service that was not performed.  I hired Air Conditioning and Heating
Consultants  Inc. (ACHC) to clean both
furnaces, which they did not do as evidenced by their own admission.  Their service order and invoice clearly
states “Clean and check both furnaces.”
It does not state that 1 furnace was cleaned and checked and the other
was just checked.  Less than a month
later, I had to pay a second company to perform the cleaning that I contracted
and paid ACHC to perform.  I did not give
permission for the ignitor to be installed, implied or explicit.  It is very thoughtful that Mr. R[redacted] gave
permission to his technician “to change a minor part to save a second service
call to the resident.” However, the tone of his subsequent call did not match
this sincerity; Mr. R[redacted] was emphatic that both furnaces should be
replaced.  If ACHC was unable to reach
me, then they should not have performed the service; but they did not try; the
first call that I received from them on the day of the service call was a sales
pitch for two new furnaces.

I take issue with Joseph R[redacted]’s
comments.  He states that the reason that
I placed the call was because “Mr. [redacted] knew that the furnaces were in
poor condition when he called for a no heat service call on December 21, 2016
and was informed of such.”  I was told
that the furnaces were in need of cleanings, which is why I hired and paid for
cleanings.  Mr. R[redacted] also made sure to
state that the check was dated “9-12-17” as if I paid the invoice after the due
date, however I (Mr. W[redacted], not Mrs. W[redacted]) wrote the check on 9-4-17
and mailed it that evening.  In fact,
when I called ACHC on 9-12-17, Mr. R[redacted] stated that the check had been received;
I can’t control when Mr. R[redacted] decides to deposit his checks.  I did indeed write “Thank you for your service”
on the invoice in appreciation for service that I was yet unaware that ACHC did
not fully render.  I am appreciative of
service professionals, but I expect them to have performed the work that they
said that they did.

This complaint is about failure to
render correctly, the service that the business was hired to perform and ONLY
the service that it was hired to perform.
Mr. R[redacted] has stated that “We stand behind our work and the technicians
diagnosis.”  I’m not sure what that means.
I would expect that most “better businesses”
would stand behind their work by admitting to a mistake (not cleaning the furnace)
and work with the customer to reach a satisfactory conclusion.  However, in my opinion, Air Conditioning and
Heating Consultants  Inc. is not a “better
business.”
Regards,
Stanley W[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] complaint is unfounded. On June 30,2017, Mrs. W[redacted] called for aClean and Check at their [redacted] Street rental. We were given the tenants phone number toschedule the appointment. It took a month of phone calls from our office to Mr. W[redacted] and thetenant to schedule the...

appointment. Neither one answered the telephone. We left multiple messages. Finally an appointment was made to Clean and Check the furnaces with the tenant only to have thetenant cancel the appointment. Finally another appointment was scheduled. The day of the servicewas to be provided our normal procedure on a Clean and Check. It curtails us to turn on the furnaceto see if it operating before any service is done. If the furnace shows any signs of a problem, thetechnician will do a carbon monoxide check to determine if the furnace is safe or should be replaced. The reason is that many customers call for a Clean and Check when they actually have a broken orbad furnace hoping a Clean and Check will cure the problem. Mr. W[redacted]’s main complaint wasthat the furnace was not cleaned, so he should not have to pay, even though service was performed onthe furnace. A waiver was signed to protect our company in case the furnace is operated without repairsor replacement and a problem occurs. The second furnace was cleaned and a new ignitor was installed. The technician called theoffice when he could not reach Mr. [redacted] on the phone. I gave him the ok to change a minorpart to save a second service call to the resident. No extra labor was charged for the repair.I informed Mr. [redacted] that the furnace should be replaced and the second furnace was invery poor condition. His choices were 80% or 90%, He said he would talk to his wife.Mr. W[redacted] knew that the furnaces were in poor condition when he called for a NO HEATservice call on December 21, 2016 and was informed of such. That was the reason for this years call.We stand behind our work and the technicians diagnosis. Mr. [redacted] was given adiscounted price of $175.00 instead of $190.00 or $95.00 per furnace. NO OTHER DISCOUNTSAPPLY.O n our invoice dated 8-8-2017 Mrs. [redacted] noted on the invoice with her check of 9-12-17(Thank you for your service).Thank you,Joseph R[redacted]Air Conditioning and Heating Consultants
