My name is Mike *** and I am the general manager at Mossy MotorsT** *** have been good customers at Mossy Motors and have spent a lot of moneyWe appreciate that, and that is why we tried to appease the situation, but it is unreasonable to leave the dealership then notice a scratch and
try to hold us responsible and now change story and saw the whole right side was scratched.Here is the story.First of all the vehicle left Mossy Motors and *** *** then contacted the service advisor and said the right the front door is scratchedEddie (service advisor) stated that when you bring the vehicle back in for a part we had ordered for the vehicle, we would have a manager look at itThey came in and Eddie looked first** *** pointed out one small scratch, less than one inch, on right front doorEddie noticed multiply scratches all over right side and called for manager Scott N***Scott N*** looked and saw the same thing and said " look at all these other scratches" *** *** stated"I knew about all of those I'm they were there its just this one on the right front door that wasn't Trying to appease the customer Scott stated "I don't know how this happened but I can have my detail department touch up the scratch to make it look better*** *** agreedIn the mix of all this *** *** called me and I discounted the repair bill $200, just trying to keep in good graces with the customerRepairs were done and *** *** picked up the vehicle brought it home again and returned after apparently *** *** was not happy with the scratch being touched up*** *** came back in and spoke directly with meI looked the touch up and thought it was a good job, he agreedHe said his wife wanted the door paintedI then said "look at all these other scratches" and pointed them out down the right side and rear of the vehicle*** *** said she is only concerned about this one that was not thereThe left side of the vehicle had no scratches but *** *** told me they had that side paintedI looked at the paint and noticed it was a sub-standard paint job*** *** stated if it were up to him it would be acceptable, but his wife was being unreasonable and he was caught in the middleI told him this is what I will do........Go to the same place that painted the left side (sub-standard repair that I was concerned about color match) and have them give you an estimate on painting the door and call meI told *** *** that I would make a decision and take into account the $I already discounted** *** called me back that same day and told me the door would be $to paintI said this is what I will do.......I will cut you a check for $if you get the dor painted*** *** said I'm coming to pick up checkI stated again, because now I think I'm being abused and they never intend to get the door painted, you have the door painted and I will then give you $He called back a few minutes later and said we can either come over and get the $now or my wife says we will get out lawyer involvedI rescinded offer and repeated I was only trying to keep you happy and my offer for a scratch that was not reported until after it left was reasonable
