We mailed out a check on March 8th for $50:for the deposit for 3D hair strokes [redacted] called stating she never received the check and that she doesn't always get her mailWe mailed another check out on May 20th for another $50:00.I have attached the checks that were sent to her.if you have any further questions please feel free to call me [redacted] [redacted] ***

*** came into the salon on March 29th with a groupon for a FULL SET of synthetic eyelash extensionsShe arrived with a set on already (since it was nearly months ago) I'm not sure if she had the initial set done here or at another salon, either way the groupon mentioned was not for a fill but a
full setI let her know that and let her know her options were to either do a new set or a fill and she could either use her groupon another time, give it to a friend as a gift or get a refund from grouponI am sure I informed her that I don't like to do fills on top of other estheticians work (because of situations like this) after looking through our records we found her transaction and she was charged $which is the charge for a week fillI amIt sure if she left a tip and maybe that is where the 60$ price came from.I am including a picture of the exact lashes that I used on ***They are a 10mm mink set of individual lashesThere are a few different things I'd like to respond toThere are several different types of lash extensions, I use what is most commonly used which are "synthetic mink" basically the fake fur version of Siberian Mink lashes. http://borboletabeauty.com/blogs/news/60107717-mink-silk-and-faux-mink-extension... is a great reference link explaining the different lashesHardly any estheticians use real Siberian mink lashes as they are extremely expensive (definitely not $14)there are also several different techniques for applying lashes which the esthetician she saw after should have been aware of if she has done any training with a reputable lash company. http://www.ailashes.com/2014/05/02/capping-stacking-and-volume-lashing/here is a great article explaining several different techniques used by many licensed estheticiansWhen a client comes in with sparse natural lashes and wants "full lashes" stacking or Russian volume lashes are a safe way to achieve that look. So in closing it is unfortunate that she was not happy with the service she had done by me, I want everyone to walk away feeling beautiful and happy with the service they receivedWith that being said I cannot refund her $for several reasonsI believe I gave her the best possible service working with the lashes she already had onI did not "refuse" to accept her grouponIt was not for a fill but a full setI am upset by the allegations she has made and there is absolutely no way to know if her "permanent lash loss" was from this salon or any of the other lash salons she has used groupons for. I truly wish she would have called within the first few weeks of having the lashes done so I could have explained the different lashes used and also different techniques used in the lash industryMaybe we could have done something she would have been happy withBut at this point almost months after the initial service and having no way of knowing what she has had done to her lashes from March 29th until now I am not going to be able to issue her a full refund for the $dollars. Thank you***

Our salon policy is no refunds or substitutions of services for any gift certificates or special promotional vouchersThis is posted behind the checkout desk

There is no right or wrong wax for Brazilian waxes, it depends on where you go and what you preferI use soft waxThe client should have spoke up and said she didn't want that type and we could have easily put her with an esthetician that uses hard waxI only double dip at the end of the wax pot
when I will be throwing it out afterI should have made that clear And have since changed my procedureShe could have spoke up if she had concerns and I would have let her know that I wouldn't be using it on another client and that previous clients I had used several sticks and would not double dip. I have several sizes and types of eyelash extensions at several price points, which is common practiceNo one is every pushed into upgrading, and I have several clients who get the "doll lashes" which are the ones on special, and are happy with themI have pictures of you would like to see them, there isn't an option to upload hereThe lashes are to be kept completely dry fro the first hours, I would never have said she could not shower for 3-weeksI do however offer a waterproof sealant for an additional 15$ so that the client can shower immediatelyALL of this information is on the legal form the client is given prior to the appointment and has the opportunity to addresse any concerns or questions. The client did call days later and say she had some falling out, on the form she signed at the beginning of the service it states she has hours to call with concerns and we can fix them free of charge, however we offered to make an appointment and fix them completely free of chargeThe client was extremely adamant about wanting her money back, it was after that and reading here on the report that she got them done for a "upcoming function" that I began to realize she had gotten them done in hopes she could get her money back after her eventShe left the salon completely happy and without complaint

I am rejecting this response because: it is not accurate nor an appropriate responseHarass? *** agreed this was not acceptable and businesses are not authorized to sell *** directly to customersThis is in violation of Revdex.com practices as well as ***The California licensing board agreed that their practices were in violation of board of esthetiCian licensing and fined the businessI had to get the lashes redone elsewhere since they all fell out immediatelyRevdex.com step up to the plate here

We have been going back and forth on this*** is a licensed esthetician and an independent contractor at Threaded Beauty Salon & SpaWhen the services were preformed the client was completely satisfiedAnd a few days later when she called and informed us that a few of the lashes had fallen off we offered to schedule an appointment for her to return and have them fixed for freeBut all she wanted was her money backThe salon policy is no fefunds or substitutions of service certificates or promotional vouchersThe client has been harassing the salon not only including herself but her bank as wellClient purchased groupon and did not have to upgradeIf she is looking for a refund it needs to be conducted through grouponIf she wasn't comfortable with the establishment she very well could have walked out the door

I think there has been some miscommunication as I have been to Threaded Beauty three times. Please see the Yelp review I posted that is far more detailed as I wrote it contemporaneously(see below) My very first time at Threaded Beauty was 2/6/16. I filled out a questionnaire and let *** know I had never had eyelash extensions. She knew right up front I knew nothing about eyelash extensions. I walked in with only my natural lashes (which are not sparse as she suggested to explain her improper technique) Her Groupon was for a full set of synthetic lashes. I get there and she starts saying how bad “synthetic” lashes are. She talked up the non-synthetic Mink lashes for an extra $80. She never informed me they were synthetic or I would not have wasted my money. Sorry I had my dates and $ amounts wrong but I have now dug up all my documentation to set the record straight. See credit card statement for 2/6. I already sent you the Groupon for 2/where she calls it Mink lashes not synthetic Mink. (That is a huge legal no no from what I am hearing from the DA’s Consumer Affairs Dept). I went back on March 6th for a “fill” and paid $60. I sent you that credit card receipt already. I purchased another Groupon for a “full set” of synthetic lashes and went back on March 29th. I only needed a fill and I figured it wouldn’t be a big deal to use the Groupon since a fill takes less product and less time than a full set. *** flat out refused to take the Groupon but I went ahead with the fill since I needed it doneI was charged $on that visit (I sent that receipt) for a fill with Mink lashesI decided to never go back. I went to another Esthetician and learned the lashes were synthetic and not done correctly. Not sure what all this back and forth is going to accomplish. *** is not going to admit she broke the law. But the public needs to know she is not ethical and does not do good work

further questions please feel free to call me [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I didn't know there were different types of waxes and the type of wax used on the sensitive bikini area is more gentle. I relied on the mistaken impression that I was going to a professional who would use appropriate product or explain that another esthetician uses a more gentle wax for such a sensitive area and I would have immediately accepted that offer. Upon checking out I was offered to purchase additional '[redacted]' or packages of '[redacted]' from the business.  Of course this would not have been a "[redacted]" and was a complete lie. No one can buy [redacted] directly from a business, but must instead purchase through [redacted].com.  I confirmed this is explictly the only way to do this and any business offering [redacted] for purchase through them directly are in violation of [redacted] policies and agreements with businesses that [redacted] has partnered with.I first called when I got home the day of the service as quite a few lashes fell out on my drive from the business to my residence. I was told this was normal! But to call back in a few days if there continued to be an issue.  The $15 charge for sealing the lashes was not indicated in any paper work I signed. There was specific product ingredients to refrain from using, but when I asked [redacted] about moisturizers and face products, she said, "Oh ignore that paperwork. We just have to make you sign stuff. You can use anything but mascara especially with having this sealer."  I still didn't want to risk losing additional lashes prior to the upcoming weekend, so I didn't shower for 40 hours after getting the lashes put on.  They continued to fall out rapidly.  I called in daily. The business was closed several times that I called. I reminded the person answering the calls that I had called her upon arriving home the day of my service and that she had said to call in a few days if there continued to be an issue. When I called and reached her a few days after my first call, I had at that point lost 50% of the lashes on 1 eye and 75% on the other eye and it had only been a few days. I said I didn't trust the esthetician after the bait and switch tactics with the eyelash [redacted] and then with the MOST PAINFUL brazilian wax I had ever encountered in my life! And then learning what kind of wax she had used. Adding to that, she refused to apply pressure to the skin after ripping off hair and skin due to the type of wax she used.  She said she would have [redacted] call me.  [redacted] called, but I was working and unable to answer at that time.  I called back when I was able and [redacted] was unavailable.  I left a message for her to call.  I explained I didn't trust her skills or products when lashes were nearly completely gone in 3 days! I wouldn't risk my eyes or the time involved to return. Please refund my money.  I then booked an appointment with a reputable salon for eyelash extensions.

I feel there is a miscommunication somewhere, like I said before, [redacted] came in with a groupon. She already had lashes on so I discussed her options and she choose to get a fill. Like I explained to her groupons are for full sets. We did not scan her groupon that is why she was able to get a refund through groupon. I did not have to "talk her into" any lashes with the fill she received bea cause the length she had on was 10mm, I only carry 10mm in the mink lashes. It was $55 for the fill, like I said before the $60 may be with tip included. I included a picture of the lashes used on her and it clearly says "mink" the lashes I use are al oust always referred to as "mink" not synthetic mink. It is very hard to find someone who uses Syrian mink and they run about 300-400$ for a full set, but this is all beside the point because she received a fill at our salon not a full set. Yes we may have talked about different types of lashes while we were discussing her options with the groupon, in the end [redacted] choose to get a fill not full set. She was charged the 3 week fill price for a set of 10mm lashes. She received a refund on her groupon. I do wish she would have contacted us directly or Revdex.com soon after her service if she wasn't happy. Perhaps we could have figured something out that we were both comfortable with.
