Air Purchases is a Heating and Air Conditioning supply house that caters to HVAC Contractors.? It appears that the contractor that did the repair took money upfront for the replacement cost of the compressor ($800.00), and did not credit the consumer once they returned compressor to us.? Typically in a warranty situation, where the manufacturer wants the part back, we bill the HVAC Contractor the price of the part, and once he returns the part to us we issue a credit.? ? This is the standard procedure throughout our industry.? Without knowing the details, I am not sure that the contractor did not receive credit for the warranty compressor.?
