Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We talked to the previous owner and he denies that he told this company not to replace the other items. This is what the company told us too but they have no documentation that the previous owner did not want the items added that would make the system work. I cannot go back and confirm what occurred with the initial install but I can confirm that the company has not been honest with us. They spent a half a day over $1110.00 charge when they say they knew that an air eliminator was needed. We asked for an estimate on the needed repairs this year and they charged us s service charge. We want them to refund the charges from last year and pay for the cost we paid the new compsny this year. Also they need to cancel the service chargefir this year.Thank You[redacted]
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in
reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not
resolve my complaint.  For your
reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowIt is very difficult to read another letter from [redacted]
at Air Quality Systems. He repeatedly does not respond to the complaint and
makes things up in his response. The system he put in did not work correctly
from the start because he did not put the correct components together that
would assure proper function. We bought the home after the furnace was in place
for only one season and the old owner was bleeding the system almost daily to
get it to function during the first season. We did not have that information
initially. In November second season we turned on the system and it did not work properly. I called
[redacted] at Air Quality Systems and he sent a worker out. It was obvious the
worker did not know what he was doing. He was bleeding all the radiators and
let out gallons of fluid to a point the system did not have enough pressure.
Six hours wasted and the system worked for a couple of hours then four or five radiators
went out. I started bleeding the radiators myself 3-4 times a day to keep them
hot. I asked our other heating and air conditioner specialist since we have two
systems for advice. He pointed out that there was no air bleeder in the system.
I called [redacted] at Air Quality and Oh yes he knew there was no air bleeder
in the system. He did not put one in. He said the old owner did not want one.
When I checked with the old owner he said he was never asked and assumed the
system was placed correctly. Believe it or not Air Quality systems sent an
$1100.00 bill for the bleeding fiasco when all the time [redacted] knew the
problem was no air bleeder in the system. It was also pointed out that Air
Quality did not put in an expansion tank or the appropriate valves so work
could be done on the furnace without having to drain the system each time, which with a antifreeze system significantly increases the cost of any work
done on the system. Again seems to be one of their techniques to increase the
service call costs.   Lack of an
expansion tank led to elevated pressure and furnace damage Third year). It appears this
company low bids but leaves out crucial parts then sets up repeated expensive
service visits. We are looking for a full refund of all charges we have paid to
this company and reimbursement of the costs we paid to the other company to make
the system functional. The new company came in assessed our needs fixed the
system and it has worked fine ever since. Highly recommend using a reputable
company even if it is a little more expensive. Air Quality Systems located in McFarland WI  does not provide quality work. Can the Revdex.com step in and recommend a course we can follow
through the courts or Attorney General’s Office? Thank you for your help.

Review: In December of 2013 our tankless water heater which heats our home went out. This is a high end tankless unit that was originally installed by the previous owner but was done by Air Quality Systems. They came out and diagnosed the problem as a cracked heat exchanger, an issue the tech said he had never seen in all his years working on these units. While the part needed for the fix was available in Milwaukee, we had to pay for the rush delivery. This is fine but it still took 2 days to get from Milwaukee to Madison. After several days of no heat or hot water the boiler was fixed. The bill for this work was over $5,000. Again this is unfortunate, but understandable, so we paid the bill in full right way. Then in this past winter, less than a year from the last service, the EXACT same thing happened again. The heat exchanger, which before last year had never been seen before, happend twice within one year in one house. Air Quality again came out, got the new part and fixed the problem. They then went through the process of requesting warranty coverage from the manufacturer for the parts and labor. The parts were once again covered and the manufacturer covered $400 of the labor costs. We then received a bill for over $900 as the remaining balance. This is where we drew the line. How is this labor, which is less than a year old for the exact same issue, not covered by a contractor's warranty? I have had a lot of professionals in our home over the years and have never heard of one not offering a guarantee on their work. When I asked Air Quality about this they stated that they offer no such warranty. How can a business of very highly trained techs, who bill over $125 per hour for labor, not guarnty that work? How can they claim to have fixed an issue (again which they had never seen before), be paid for that work, then turn around and less than a year fix the same thing and expect to be paid again? What business can operate like this? Does our sizeable $5,000 payment not entitle us to some piece of mind that this issue had been resolved?Desired Settlement: I would like to have the remaining balance on this bill (around $900) moved to zero, but to be honest I would be happy with the Revdex.com knowing that this happens and hopefully stopping this same thing from happening to other people in the Madison area.

Review: We bought a house in Sept 2013. The furnance had been replaceed by the above company two years prior for a cost of over $8,000.00. The previous owner told us he had problems with air in the system. We contacted the company in October of 2013 when the heat went on and the system was not heating well. They sent out a technician who spnt 6 hours bleeding the system and charged us approximatly $1110.00. The system still did not work and I started bleeding the system three times a day myself. We had work done by another company on another furnance and he looked at our system and said that ther should be an air seperator. I called the company and they said yes they knew that but the previou owner did not want one. I checked with the previous owner and they told me they were never asked. The listed compant put one in and charged us over $500.00. The system sttill did not work well but we made it through the season. This year the system started leaking and was not working again. This timewe asked Three companies to give us a free estimate for repairs. The above company agreed and said we needed additional changes to the system. They charged uus 166.69 even though we only asked for a free estimate for repairs. We chose another company because the other companies toldd us the origional instulation lacked things that were needed. Total cost over $2800.00. We believe Air Quality Systems knowingly left out the needed items to make the system functional from the start so that they could make more money with later service calls. Several of the other repair people suggested that to us.Desired Settlement: 1. We request a full refund of payments made to the company last year. Air Quality knew that the system needed an air seperator which should have been included in the install.2. We believe that the company should reimburse us $2800.00 for the work done this year. The things added should have been part of the install.3. We do not intend to pay the charge from All Quility this year (166.69) becasue we asked for an estimate of repairs not a service visit.
