The unit installed failed mechanical inspectionCompany refuses to communicate and make corrections to pass inspection
The unit was installed in home before we purchasedWe had another company check system and they found several deficiencies and no permit pulled for installationWe contacted Air Secure and they pulled permit, requested inspection and inspection failedI have contacted them three times by phone and twice by emailThey have yet to communicate with me and make corrections so the unit will pass inspection

This weekend we had snow and ice and temps near zeroI realized about midnight on Saturday that our furnace was not workingI called many HVAC companies only to be told that the soonest they could come would be Monday or TuesdayI called *** on Sunday morningHe answered the phone directlyI didn't have to call a dispatcher or leave a messageInstead of telling me that it would be a day or so before he could come out, he offered to help my husband diagnose the problem over the phoneIn minutes, he had not only helped diagnose the problem, but he walked my husband through how to fix it! He was professional, patient and sympatheticI will definitely be giving *** a call next time we need HVAC workGod bless him!

I could not be happier with the service I received from *** *** and the team from Air SecureMy problem was initially intermittent and they made several trips out when it would, of course, work just fine, and they didn't charge meWhen my problem suddenly became constant and the house temps were in the 50s, I made a frantic call one evening and they squeezed me in the next dayThey diagnosed the problem, were honest about the possible complications, and worked aggressively to find my part(They were very concerned the issue be resolved quickly as I was having surgery in a couple days.) A couple hours later, they were again at my house, installed the part (with no complications), and I had heat againI'm not sure who was happier! The repair cost was very reasonable, particularly considering the unpaid calls and the urgent nature of this oneI HIGHLY recommend this local, family owned company

They came out immediately to install a new heating a/c unit on May 22, 2014. We have issues and they set appointments but don't come out or call back.New unit 13 & 14.5 Seer Series RUUD unit installed May 23, 2014 by Secure Air. on the invoice was this info. 5/23/201413AJN SW1814lXXXX X/23/14 RGPS (RHEEM) SFXXXXXXXXX RCFL SWXXXXXXXXX. Amount paid $4,050.00 which included two thermostats. Paid via credit card Item Receipt # [redacted]Desired SettlementSince Secure Air repeatedly don't return phone calls, don't answer the phone or schedule appt and don't come out nor call to let you know they are not coming after waiting all day/weeks. Our "new" unit was installed May 22, 2014. Six weeks later it went out. They claim it had a "bad" compressor. We had to wait 7 more days during the hot July week for them to come back out. They had promised to come out that Monday but did not do it neither did they call until they showed up on Tuesday. They refused to reimburse us money for our suffering of heat as we slept under 5 fans upstairs for 7 nights. Then in the Fall the unit would not turn on heat. We called them and they never showed up all day. Around 7pm the guys arrived unexpectedly. They did fix it. In May 2015 we had it serviced by another company. We reported to Secure Air that the suction pressure was running low and should be replaced because it is under warranty. At first we left messages two different days but no one returned our calls. Finally on May 4, 2015 at 3:25pm I called and spoke to Will. He scheduled an appt and stated he will come out on Thursday, May 7th. As of today he has not come, neither has he called back. This company continues to lie to consumers once they get their money. No shows, no reimbursement, no apology, no return phone calls, bad business practices. I would NOT refer them to anyone nor do business with them again. I am now going to have to pay another company to correct the work Secure Air did that isn't working properly. I also called them when the unit was making noises. They said someone would be out the next day. This was over a month ago. No one never came nor did they call back. Again once Secure Air get your money, they move on to the next new customer, as though you no longer exist and your issues doesn't matter.Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/Follow up. Secure Air came out today around noon. They worked on our unit and it appear to be working properly. Thank you so much for your support in this matter.

The installation was incomplete, specifically the thermostat was incorrectly installed. I need to have the thermostat wired for automatic operation. Air secure installed a complete new heat pump system at [redacted] Dr Cary NC XXXXX on 5-26-14. The next day upon programming the new thermostat I noticed that it was not wired correctly, so that the system would automatically choose heat or cooling depending on temperature. My old thermostat was automatic and this was the same brand thermostat. The instructions indicate that the thermostat can be wired for automatic selection. I immediately called [redacted] the owner, and asked to correct the installation. He was present to sell me the job and was on the job site during the installation. Two weeks later there was no response, again I called him, no response. Three weeks later I met [redacted] personally at a job site he was working and reminded him. He said He would attend to it. He never came. When the outside temperature dropped in September, it caused a big problem at the household that has three elderly people over 80 years old. They could not turn on the heat. I called the office and spoke to office manager, she said she would relay the message. One week no response, called again spoke to the office manager in Cary, no response from [redacted]. Called again ,the phone was not working at Air Secure. I personally went to the location on X-XX-XX to see if it was still in business. I saw the office manager,she remembers my previous phone calls,and was unaware the phone was not working for several days. She gave me [redacted]'s business card, which only has the business phone number, not his cell number. I told her this would be my last contact before taking further steps. I have never received a phone call or any type of contact from any one at Air Secure regarding my issue. The customer service at Air Secure is terrible. I have completely ignored. However, at the time of installation, [redacted] wanted to be paid prior to completion of the job.Desired SettlementI want the company to come out immediately to wire the thermostat for automatic operation. The company provides a two year labor warranty. If they are unable to do so themselves I will have an electriction do the work and expect Air Secure to reimburse me in full for the repair.Final Consumer Response /[redacted] , the owner, came out today to re-program the thermostat. It appears to have been reset to operate automatically. He apologized for the delay citing a problem with the office manager. He did not see your email notification of the complaint until last week, but called after he saw the notification. You may close the case.[redacted]

Called and they arrived promptly within an hour. Diagnosed the problem and fixed ac issues with two of my units within an hour. Fast, friendly, and effecient service. I would highly recommend Air Secure LLC.

Said he couldn't hear it but was hard of hearing. His worker said he could hear it. Owner said he would fix it. Eventually, he moved the unit and said if that doesn't fix it he would replace it but wanted to get the manufacturer involved. However, in order to get him to respond at all, we have to call him over and over again. At Christmas time he said he was going to fix it. We did not hear from him again. In January we called. Said he would fix it. In February we called. Said he was waiting on the Manufacturer. In March we called. Said was waiting on manufacturer but if he didn't fix it he would replace it. Now April and we haven't hear from him as usual. We always have to call him. At this point we believe he is just stringing us along until it has been one year and then he will say he's not responsible. Now we want it replaced. We were willing to work with him and the manufacturer but the owner has not dealt with us in a fair manner by ignoring us constantly hoping the problem will just go away. He cannot claim we have been unreasonable or that there is no problem. His own workers have verified there is a noise and [redacted] himself has also agreed he could hear it. If we were to sell our home tomorrow, the home inspector would say this is an issue and we would have to fix it. The other a/c unit does NOT make this sound. That in itself then would indicate that the unit is faulty and needs to be repaired or replaced. Since the owner claims he has done everything he can, it needs to be replaced.Desired SettlementTo be contacted in a timely manner. The owner should keep his word. If he says he [redacted] call back on Wednesday, call back. Don't wait another month and we have to call him!!!! Fix the issue! If you cannot repair it so the sound stops, then replace the unit.Business Response Customer indicated the noise was gone and they are satisfied. I bought the new unit myself and installed it at the end of April to keep this customer happy.Consumer Response Owner replaced the unit and we are now satisfied. Thank you.
