Review: I did not have time to due diligence on this vendor prior to calling them. Our upstairs heating was not working and we were in one of the cold waves. The vendor showed up late and mentioned that he thought the repair would be about $100. We got bilked with a $500 bill. I did not authorize any of the work and they insisted that this was common practice for HVAC in [redacted].These people must be stopped from taking advantage of customers who are in a pinch. This outfit is unprofessional and misleading. Had I checked online I would have uncovered that they have a bad track record.their office is highly unprofessional; we will dispute this with [redacted].Desired Settlement: we would like a partial refund as we did not approve most of the work and they did not [failed to] disclose cost. I hate having my back against the wall by some po-dunk vendor.

Response:
Dear Revdex.com:
This customer has not had service
from our company since December 2012.
Received the call on 1/23/2014 and was able to schedule him for a first
call 1/24/2014. He was scheduled for 7:30 and we arrived at
7:41 AM. (Please see GPS attachment). The service call was for no heat on second
floor. Upon arrival our Technician [redacted] assets
the situation and determined that the filter was dirty in the furnace and the
drain lines in the attic were frozen. [redacted] replaced the filter and then called
the manager and asked what the next steps should be, since its cold and we many
calls to get to that day.
Our service manager made the
decision to not leave Mr. [redacted] without heat and instructed [redacted] on how
to resolve the problem permanently and correctly so this problem would not
reoccur. [redacted] relayed this message to Mr. [redacted] – The diagnostic Fee was $109.00
which was explained at the scheduling of the call. [redacted]
explain that it would be roughly an additional $100 or so for the repair. The Repair itself was 166.00
We chose to repair this system permanently and
not temporarily which would have resulted in many calls till the spring. At 8:25 AM [redacted] went to a local supply house
and purchased the materials specific to what Mr. [redacted] needed for his
repairs. He returned to the house at
8:46 AM with the materials needed. At
this time, [redacted] defrosted the drain lines in the attic that were frozen, once
they were defrosted he strapped heat tape and insulation on to the PVC drain
line. He started and tested the second
floor heat which he repaired and was working properly now. At this point the
cost was
$109.00 diagnostic
$166.00 for the repair to defrost piping and install
heat strip and insulation.
– The cost of the insulation is within the 166.000.
$95.00 heat strip.
$27.00 Filter
