HVAC is spewing insulation into living area of the house.Don't know if this should be a complaint against the builder, Forever Homes or the HVAC supplier, Air Systems Services. Initially noticed insulation in the air ducts in August 2012 and mentioned it to the Building Supervisor. Home was purchased August, 2011. He removed it and said it wouldn't be a problem. That was not correct. I reported that it has been a constant problem over this winter when the heat is running. Air Systems Services was called in to find the problem and couldn't. They maintain it is impossible for insulation to be getting into the vents. However, it is still coming out through the vents causing. in addition to the mess, eye and sinus irritations. The owner and a technician are coming to my home to check on the problem Wednesday afternoon, March 26.Consumer Response /[redacted]/Since I don't have a solution yet, I don't understand why the complaint was closed. I did have people from Air Systems and Forever Home here checking out the problem, but it has not yet been resolved.Business Response /[redacted]/We have previously responded to her request. But when I received this complaint I made an in person visit to Ms. [redacted] home. Sure enough she has an accumulation of some sort of dust, lint or carpet fibers along the base of her cabinets on the hard wood floor. The air duct are located in the ceiling and are clean as a whistle. We went into the attic and inspected the inside of the blower compartment to see if anything was there with no luck, clean as a whistle. I am going to try to help solve the mystery of what the duct balls are and where are they coming from. The builder was also present and he was going to have a lab analyze the dust so we can determine the source. My guess is there is infiltration from either the garage door or the patio door and the dust is coming in from there. It is for sure not coming from the air condition system. I will report back when we have a finding. [redacted] owner
